Brilliant Addition To Your Toolbox
I’ve written about this product before and still rate it really highly. Latest uses, after repairing the broken garden lamppost, is to secure the cars under engine heatshield, that rattled and clanked and drove me nuts, but not anymore, as a marbled sized chunk of this across the worn clips, has it tight and secured again. Also used on the plastic door bin in the RV, as both lower brackets had sheered off. A small mix of this, rolled out like a caterpillar, saw both sides secured stronger that the day it came out of the factory. Now I’ve used it, it’ll be my go to product for repairs and sooooooo much better than the stuff in tubes that need mixing and is usually half filled with air and no product. Get your wallet ready, as you know you want some 👍🏻

The best metal fix
The best thing for metal repairs. No messing about with a spatula and mixing liquids. This comes in a handy tube and you simply cut off as much as you need and mix it together. It sets in a few minutes and rock hard within a few hours. Perfect!

Works very well but doesn't blend in with aluminium
This is easy to use and very good for patching holes in aluminium. However it is darker than raw aluminium and as such if you want a cosmetic repair on unpainted metal you possibly want to look at another product. If you're painting it or it's in a hidden area then no worries!

Jury's still out.
I bought this to repair a slightly worn dropout on my bicycle frame. I carried out a couple of tests first. Test were carried out using a thoroughly kneaded piece of Quiksteel. Test 1 Apply to a scrap piece of aluminium. Wait one hour for it to set. Hit it with a hammer. Result: Quiksteel disintegrated after multiple hammer blows. Crumbled into pieces. I was expecting it to withstand the hammer blows as it was an ordinary 16oz general use hammer and the force applied was just greater than dropping the hammer from about 15cm. I was able to pick the remaining pieces off of the scrap metal with just my hands. I had sanded the aluminium first. This debunks the "strong as steel" claim. Test 2 Roll a piece of it into a 5mm thick sliver. Wait 2.5 hours. Try to snap it with hands. Result: I could bend and crack the material with my bare hands. It didn't take a great deal of effort to destroy the Quiksteel. I still used it on my bike frame as A: If it deforms and puts the wheel out of alignment that's fine and I can repair it again. And B: Once the wheel is clamped it shouldn't have to withstand a great deal of stress. I had tin foil shimming the gap before applying Quiksteel. The other reviews on here seem to put a lot of faith in the material. I'm sure I mixed it correctly and I used a knife to cut an even sliver of Quiksteel from the block. Time will tell.

Quiksteel Repairing Paste
I have used this for a variety of repairs, and can confirm that it is extremely strong once cured. My only gripe might be that it starts hardening very quickly, so needs to be used as soon as it is mixed (it is a two part epoxy). If you mix more than you need for a job, you will waste the rest unless you have another use for it immediately. It has been used to repair a tripod head that was poorly engineered in the first place, and to stop cracks in an Actifry lid from spreading further, thus lengthening the life of the lid. A spot of the repair paste at the end of the crack was sufficient, and it handles the heat from the Actifry perfectly. As the paste is on the outside it won't contaminate food at all, assuming that it could. I have repaired a number of other smaller items successfully as well. I can recommend this product highly!

Strong easy to use
My husband broke our toilet seat. It is an unusual shape and a new one will take four weeks to deliver. Our son suggested we used Quiksteel. It was easy to use and the seat is as good as new apart from a small chip

epoxy

parfait
Solution rapide et efficace pour les réparations !
