I bought these to replace the Audeze LCD-XC OEM cable, hoping to hear a meaningful difference and so that I had a backup in the form of the OEM cable. They arrived quicker than expected from overseas, very well packaged, are noticeably thinker than the OEM cable (by 25-50%!), and appear more robust and durable than the OEM one, yet maintained the same flexibility.Doing some A:B testing with imported Qobuz Hi-Res songs (processed through a Dragonfly Cobalt and JitterBug FMJ from my phone), I noticed a subtle improvement in clarity throughout (least noticeable in the Mids, and most noticeable in the Lows), but also a meaningful improvement in the fullness and impact of the Lows, as well as noticeable warmth added to the low-Highs/high-Mids.This cable brings out more in my music than I expected, and while the most noticeable change could be accomplished stock with some EQ adjustments, the clarity improvements are not nothing. Whether that’s worth the price to you is another question, but I’ll be keeping them. (I’ll update this if anything goes south with them.)
