API AMMONIA TEST STRIPS Freshwater and Saltwater Aquarium Water Test Strips 25-Test Box

Bought these as well as the ammonia test kit. Didn't know which one I'd like best .both are good and very accurate.

A most important test kit. Ammonia can kill aquarium fish in very small amounts. Have been using the kit for many years to monitor the levels in the water.

Use these in my tank every few days to check ... sometime the test can be hard to determine the colour as the pad behind can sometimes show a different colour to the main strip but seems to be accurate enough to use confidently

I love these strips 🙂 Bought them for the first time from Amazon last week as I was fed up of racing down to my local pet store with water samples from my fish tank! They were really easy to use - was worried at first that it would be difficult but it's really not: just hold the strip in the tank water for the instructed time, wait for 60 seconds then compare the colour of the strip to the colour chart with the product. Not sure of accuracy but these are the exact same strips my local pet shop were using to test the tank water (I checked..) so if they're good enough for them, I figured they're good enough for me too 😉

Convenient, accurate as tested against API master liquid test kit and results are fast. Helps keep your fish healthy by monitoring and quickly checking ammonia levels. Although they are expensive and I would recommend a liquid test kit over these but good to have if in a rush and you don’t have time to get your master test kit out.

I find these to be handy to have for those occasions when you want to check on your water. My tank has been going for many years now with not too many issues. I find the ammonia test straps to be accurate enough and most simple to use.

AMMONIA TESTING STRIPS REVIEW The material they use has this shine to it, making it hard to see, and the plastic covering both sides doesn’t help either. When I used it in my tank, it didn’t seem like it changed colour at all, but when I went to the pet shop they said my ammonia was too much.. You’re better off buying a liquid test kit with clearer colour differences. I tested it with pure household ammonia and it turned blue so it’s not defective, just lacks accuracy and clearness

Useful to know that there is no ammonia in the water. Therefore water quality is good.

I aint sure it is measuring anything. Use is easy but i am not sure the band really interacts with the water in an efficient way. But the fishes are alive.

Reasonably good accuracy for a test strip (when compared to the results of a master test kit). It's quick and easy which means we'll actually test more regularly. We will buy this again.

They work! I needed them for my above ground 2,500 gallon above ground pond. They seem quite accurate and I appreciated the instructions.

Very easy to use for a quick water quality test. May not be as accurate as a chemical test, but lets you find out immediately if there is a problem with your tank. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with multiple tanks such as I do.
