First, no matter how hot you make it , it just doesn’t curl your hair!!! I don’t know what material the barrel is made of but it is unable to do anything. Your hair just gets very very hot and no matter how long you hold it, it stays straight. It’s not a user error it’s just a poorly made error by the manufacturers do not waste your money and damage your hair because when I used it on 370 degrees, it started smoking and smelt like burnt hair. Lastly I left it on my wood table and it burn a hole through it and the table is an antique. Worst curling iron, just splurge for something better.
