Great results, killed weeds on gravel driveway

Weedol systemic killer was effective at knocking the weeds down, a few dry days after spraying and they are done for, leave them a bit longer and you can just sweep them away. The pick-up ability of the pipe to the spray gun that came with mine was not so impressive, such a shame as it took the shine off the product. Wouldn't keep the pressure in the pick up pipe and was a bit hit and miss spraying to say the least. I was hoping to use the sprayer again and buy a refill, needless to say that isn't happening. I have since bought a hand pump pressure sprayer but unfortunately that and its replacement bothfaulty as well! All cheap plastic, poorly finished threads on the bottle not allowing a good seal. So I suppose its no wonder I'm back to square one! At least I have some dead weeds to show for it. Please Weedol improve the pick up pipe connection to the bottle and it will be a top product. Thanks.

I have an old cobbled driveway which is impossible to keep weed free any way other than with a weed killer. I applied this and, although it took a few days to notice any change, the weeds have all been killed. Took about 2 weeks before I noticed that they were all dead. I have a 'large' tree right next to my drive and it has not suffered at all from an application of this treatment to the drive that its roots are under. 8 weeks later and a few weeds are starting to poke their heads through again. I might need a second application to see me through to the end of the year.

I have used this product a few times and always been pleased with the results from the 1l bottle. I have a larger area to treat, so decided to go for a larger size. I’m now regretting it. The sprayer is rubbish. The multi position nozzle has 4 positions. 2 off and what should be jet or mist. In reality both are just a low power trickle. This would, I guess be ok for something broad leaved and large, but if you are dealing with small weeds over a wide area, you need a proper mist, and you just can’t get that with this. I tried to use it, but I just couldn’t get an effective spray. Fortunately I have a spare spray bottle, which works properly, so I will decant into that. A real faff, but I think it will work. Would I buy again? If the decanting works, I might do to get the volume of product, but I wouldn’t dream of using this as supplied.

Update: it’s been a week since I applied the weedkiller.. small successes on some of the weeds but the bindweed is totally unfazed and there are still clumps of green on my driveway. Given the spray didn’t work and I’d poured the weedkiller into the gaps.. you’d think it would’ve worked better (I used the entire 3L!), however, the result was just mediocre. Steer clear, not very impressive. It’s been less than 24hrs since I applied the weedkiller on my driveway so too early to say whether it’s efficient or not... however, the application process was unbelievably frustrating. The spray head was the kind of useless pump that required 10 pumps in order to get a pathetic drizzle out, I had terrible repetitive strain in both hands and frankly just could not continue with it. I ended up pouring the weedkiller into a watering jug and pouring onto the weeds. Avoid this cheap, useless spray if you can, in light the 3L bottle with the pull out flexible spray, so angry at how rubbish it was.

Killed the weeds ok. The battery powered applicator is great, easy to direct and saves bending down when applying. I've kept the container once I'd used it all up and now put white vinegar in it which is about £4.50 for 5 litres and kills the weeds just the same.

A good way to buy weed killer to clear the path and patio. However, the nozzle just emits a jet and not the spray that I wanted even if it is set on the spray setting. I have been transferring the liquid into a spray bottle as that is easier to use.
