My kids have suggested decorating it with ribbons etc. so will just have to do that to make him look pretty. He is a very laid back lad so hopefully he will get used to it quickly. It's just very sad how he will never be able to run along the beach jumping in the waves, playing with other dogs and not being able to fetch his ball on walks again, or go to the caravan site as a lot of sites ban certain dogs. EDIT: My dog has accepted the muzzle well and has been wearing it when out on his jaunts. I used peanut butter to make the muzzle a good experience to him and now when he sees his muzzle, he relates it to peanut butter or treats. He does get a little sick of it when he's hot and panting and he does his little commando crawl along the ground to try get it off but it doesn't budge. I dread to think what he'd be like in the summer in a hot car, it will also be mandatory for them to wear muzzles in the car too! Could be very dangerous for the dog on a hot summer day. He gets a bit whiney when my other dog is running around off lead and he is stuck on lead with the muzzle on and can not play with her, I can see why he'd be upset, understandable, I would be too. My kids added some colour to the muzzle and it makes him look less intimidating. I hope everyone elses muzzle training is going as well as my boy's. It's such a shame as it will limit the dog's quality of life, but it is better than a cull I suppose. Please read review as this is an individual basis! *by S***P on 2 October 2024* I brought this as a new muzzle for my XL bully boy! My dog is not aggressive at all and actually does not need one, however I have a license and have to adhere to the conditions of this license.:: so bully’s faces are not the same as your average staff, Labrador etc they have thick and short snouts and very large skulls. I measured him and brought size 4 according to the measurements! This muzzle is sturdy and great quality! Easy to mould you put in hot water and shape to your dogs snout! However my dog fought with his trying to get it off until we are physically outside, he had a massive sore on the top of his nose caused by the strap and his constant pulling at it! So I’ve not been able to take him on walks until it’s healed (he has a large garden) and have purchased no 5 size as I can’t fault the product but the measurements were not suitable for my boy and I’ve sized up! I think it’s dependant on breed, If you have a bully i recommend sizing up and then mould the muzzle. I am hoping this will help with friction and obviously it didn’t help with him not liking to wear it and trying to get it off!
