5 X METALTEX GLASS MILK SAVER BOIL BOILING WATER ALERT PAN POT WATCHER

Bought these for use as pickle-weights in wide-mouth kilner jars to keep vegetables submerged under salt water. They worked ok but not heavy enough, so have to use at least 3 discs. Easy to wash and sterilise and do not harbour smells of previous ferment like some stoneware weights do.Please note they are too big for the wide-mouth Balls jars with 2piece lids.

These are fine milk savers but I wish they were heavier as I'm using them as weights (unsuccessfully) for fermenting vegetables

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Arrived promptly after 3 days with fre delivery.Was well packaged and clearly marked as fragile to protect the glass product.Each Pot-Watcher was seperately vacuum packed on its own card.It's a solid piece of glass and looks like it will survive rattlling about in a pan.I bought it for a different purpose, to hold down fermenting vegetables in a kilner jar. It's perfect for this job for the wider mouth kilner jars.
