I’ve never used this before but I didn’t regret it, I prefer dull rather than glossy or shiny finishes, this goes on so well drying time isn’t long so you don’t have to wait ages for next coat, no smell, seems to seal okay but time will tell, really happy with this product would definitely buy again.

I was very hesitant about using this, given a few reviews but I thought i'd do my research, and im glad I did, with the right info and applying as recommended, it has worked perfectly to seal my outside painting. I used a mix of masonry paint and Indoor acrylic paints and even wood paint lol, so if it survives till next year I'll be impressed, if not i'll paint over it and have a go at painting something else but with proper outdoor paint or admit defeat and paint the wall black. The sealant really helped the pink acrylic paint pop! I have used two coats for the whole wall which is roughly 2.5m x 3m and I'd say theres at least 250ml left, so I may do a 3rd coat. It does give a slight sheen as shown in one of the pics and a further pic shows the op adjoining wall without the sealant , it's perfect for what I needed it for.

I've used it for my desk's top after the paint I used was scratching easy and dry at the touch. Worked great with two coats (quick drying and no smell)

I have been doing a pine fireplace surround DIY project. I painted white Rustins primer on the wood, then applied 3 coats of Frankie & Stone white chalk paint - left the top as natural stain. Lightly sanded between each coat, wiped down with damp cloth then left to let the paint fully dry for 2 days. Applied 1st coat of Polyvine Satin finish (white bits only) with 10% water added, then 2 subsequent coats undiluted. Went on smoothly, very easy to work with and didn't lift any paint at all. Didn't change or darken the white chalk paint either. Left a very subtle sheen and is smooth to the touch. Brilliant product. Paint seems locked in well and still retains it's natural look.

An excellent product, I used it to seal some shelves which I had painted in a matt vinyl emulsion and the result was brilliant! As near a matt finish as you could get with a varnish. I applied 3 coats, 12hrs drying between coats and its a perfect wipe clean surface. Its a bit alarming when applied because it is white and appears textured, I applied it with a foam roller, but if you just leave it alone to dry its all fine (see photos)

I needed a top coat/sealer for chalk paint that was totally matt finish. I tried a top brand polyurethane varnish beginning with ‘R’ claiming to be a ‘matt’ finish, it ruined all my hard work. Thankfully I only used it on my table legs and not all 8 chairs! It left yellow stains all over my nice white hand painted furniture and removed a lot of the chalk paint. It was far from being a Matt finish, more like a satin. Out of despair I gave this Polyvine Dead Flat a go. What a difference! A dream to apply and I can say with confidence that it does leave a totally Matt finish that’s so flat I can barely tell it’s there with no sheen at all. Works perfectly over chalk paint and maintains that lovely matt finish. The only way you can tell it’s on is by touch, it’s leaves a nice smooth finish rather than the dry chalky finish of the chalk paint which I think is a bonus for cleaning. Now I have my perfect combo for future furniture upcycling. Chalk paint and Polyvine. Tips: Once you’ve finished painting with your chalk paint, lightly sand the surface down, just enough to smooth the surface. Then apply 2 thin coats of Polyvine Dead Flat, no need to slather it on. Use a round and pointed natural bristle furniture brush for both the paint and top coat rather than a regular flat brush, it’s so much easier especially on things like chair spindles.

Very good product and worked well. Bought new kitchen cabinet doors which were Matt got a piece scanned to match paint for cornice but the paint was satin and looked darker and really shiny. Bought this and painted it on, it did a fantastic job saved me having to buy new cornice. Would recommend.

Haven't tested the product yet but it arrived 3 quarters full and no seal at all. Lid came right off with no top seal so unsure if the product inside is legit or not before doing an actual review.

Matte is invisible on the flat farrow and ball wallpaper behind my counter. Yet I’ve spilled tomato sauce on it and just wiped it off with a damp cloth. Applying is as easy as dusting. No smell. Nothing gross or sticky. Do use multiple coats per instructions. So many products today are so terrible I’m just amazed at how simple this is and how well it works.

Barniz caro en comparación con otros pero el resutlado merece la pena. Deja la pintura muy aislada, haciendo que sea fácil limpiar el mueble. Lo he utilizado sobre chalk paint blanca y no amarillea. Recomendable.

I used this product on a wallpapering job that I've done for a client to protect the wallpaper in the bathroom. It worked well with 2 coats and 3 coats on some parts where water would get to it. The wallpaper wasn't the vinyl type.
