An interesting bit of kit. Lightweight, solid, versatile and easy to manipulate in to the various possible configurations, which will be perfect for getting into some of the trickier positions required for macro photography and videography. Whilst I still give it Five Stars, my only issue is that all the joints have a nice big (blue) handle, making the required adjustments easy to do, but the screw that fits into the bottom of the camera, is a smaller, flat headed screw that requires a small coin or screwdriver to tighten or adjust and where a similar large (not necesarily blue) handle would've been a better fit.Overall, I am very impressed with this piece of equipment and would recommend it above and beyond the limitations of a long straight selfie stick.

I've never written a review before, but after spending far too long assessing a few different options for a cameramount/steady, I opted to buy this product.As background, I am an outdoor photographer/videographer (caving and climbing), so the small size and weight of this device are ideal, as well as the versatility of the various configurations.It is well designed for the price, the screws cannot be lost by being unscrewed too far - excellent. Also the mounting angles are controlled/supported by small interlocking teeth, making for a very fast and stable assembly.It seems sufficiently sturdy, I use a Fuji XT10 mirrorless and 12mm prime, so I do have a lightweight setup - it is perfect for this but may begin to feel less reassuring with a larger DSLR - though I'd say it would suffice.My only issue is not a fault of the product itself - but it does not leave much room for my fingers when I also use my hotshoe mounted microphone (Takstar), again not a fault of the product, but something for other buyers to consider.All in all - I'd recommend it!

I tottaly agree with all the previous write ups BUT. If you decide to replace the tripod screw with one that has a ring, or just replace it for what ever reason. Be prepared to enlarge the slot it runs in, I found to my cost replacing the said piece it would not slide, and I tried various ones . They should be all the same size but not when it comes to the SV1000. Fortunately there is an easy solution just enlarge the slot slightly, I used a Dremel tool with a small router, to open it up slightly.But that said it is fantastic piece of kit.

Very robust and well made product that can hold a fair amount of weight. I use the SV1000 with my rx100 and a7r2 and while both cameras are by no means the heaviest around, I do feel that the arm could hold a lot more weight which is comforting. I have found that the tripod mount on my cameras isn't perfectly centered so the mechanism leans slightly to one side when it's mounted to the SV1000, but it's easy enough to grab a macro slider to adjust the weight distribution to get my horizons straight.Its a testament to the product that it's easy to add other gear to the arm to increase its functionality. I'm really please with my purchase and would definitely order again.

had 2 of these items. The first one seemed like it'ed be returned before and sent out, had chips and scratches. The second one was better condition, but the metal of the product was rather soft so it was easy for issues to be created. Unscrewing the plate screw chiped away more of the screw casing and the metal was too soft so An adapter screw I had was easily screwed into the arm and I couldnt take it out so had to send this one back aswell.

What a solid beast! very well made, no flex. If someone tries to mug you for your gear you could use it in self defense! Supports the weight of my a6000 and 18-105 lens nicely!Very happy with purchase
