Well made and effective.
We use this on our pool when we heat it. It brings the temp up by itself by about 15° in two weeks. Nice and heavenly, well made.

MUST HAVE PRODUCT
Must have product. Saves lots of money and creates comfort of lifetime. We live in San Diego, the weather for past 2 weeks was between 57 F at night and max 72 F during the day, partly cloudy. Our pool is free form approx. 36' x 18' and 5ft deep. We shaped solar cover to fit in the pool. Before using solar cover pool was loosing 2" of water per week, temperature would vary from 78 F in the morning to 82 F by the end of the day. After using cover for one week with 3 hours gap, when letting kids play, the temperature reached 95 F and it may continue to grow. It costs $250 of propane to once hit the pool by 15 degrees and it cools back down in 2 days. With solar cover pool is always 15 F warmer, that is about $150/day if one would require to do the same using propane heater. On top of it, there was no noticeable water loos due to evaporation ( saving of $50/week ). This is a great product to save on water bill, achieve 15 F increase in temperature, and extend pool season by 2-3 months. I previously installed water solar panels of size 22' x 16' and that provided 3 F increase in peak temperature, but it will drop to same base during the night, and it would not prevent evaporation. This cover is a true magic and in one month it pays off just by saving on water bill. The cover seems strong enough to last for many years.

They don’t last forever
And acceptable product that helps keep the heat in when you heat your pool. The only problem is the little plastic bubbles tend to dissolve. The manufacturer does not warranty against the little bubbles dissolving just against the two layers delaminating. Just know you’re only gonna get about a year use out of them. This is about the third one I have bought.

Barely lasted one year, 5 year warranty is a joke, health hazard.
This is my fifth one of these of the same brand from the same supplier. Normally, they last two years. I get it, sun and chlorine are plastics two worst enemies, so these covers get it from both sides. On this latest one, it barely lasted one year.My cover has 4 seams, so five sections. On four of the sections (the fifth one was too narrow to have the strip), there is a strip, about 1 foot wide, that runs the full length of the cover. In these strips, you can clearly see how the bubbles have deteriorated and the cover is splitting and getting holes. One of these strips, happened to also be the center fold line when it was packed for shipping. It has suffered the worse, basically split the full length. I have a cover reel, and wrapped in white plastic over the winter.I reached out to the seller, but they say it is not covered, they only cover the seams. the seams are the strongest, thickest, most durable part and least likely to fail.Normally, I would let this go, but we had a pool party early this July, with numerous kids. Between myself and my pool guy, we must have skimmed the pool about 20 times over three days, but we could not get all the plastic out.At the party, several parents refused to allow their kids to swim concerned about the health hazard that those floating plastic particles might cause if swallowed by the kids.Overall, product does what you expect. Reduces evaporation (critical for water conservation where I live), keeps the water warm, especially for us older folks that like warm water, and helps to keep it clean, until the deteriorating kicks in.But, if it doesn't last one year, definitely not worth the $200, and they cannot express a warranty in the listing that is absolutely meaningless.

Only good for 1 season
This review is being made during 2nd season of regular summer use, May-August.The first year of use it was ok, it didn’t heat water as we had hoped but after several weeks the water finally was warm enough to swim. It does help keep heat in water once water is heated up from the sun.Now to 2nd season use. Mind you this solar cover was stored inside garage after being cleaned and and dried fully after the 1st season use.We got it out and could tell a difference in it from the prior year, just felt less durable is all I can think to explain. After about 1 month of use into 2nd season, we started noticing the bubbles were denigrating! We had a filter screen full of plastic bubble pieces. It just continued to get worse. Then it started ripping in several places! So just know this product is fine the first pool season, if you only use 2-3 months, but after that you might as well just plan on buying another one.

Deteriorates very quickly, will last a year, no more.
Be aware that the 7 year warranty is pro rated yearly so 7 years is not entirely accurate. We also found out that the bubbles deteriorate quickly and fall off in the pool, and it tears easily after a year. One year is about what you can expect and you will be buying another one. This is not against the company, it's just the nature of these blankets, they do not last more than a year. We purchased one, and warranty on it, they gave us another for shipping, which was fair, but then the warranty started on year 3,on the new one, so they offered a pro-rate of 3 years which is about the cost of a new one, so that made no sense to continue with the advanced pro-rate of a blanket. As far as working well, it does bring up the temp, I have no complaints. Our pool is enclosed by a cage so it's not even exposed to direct sun and still the blanket went bad in just one year. We also had this on a pool roller so it was not taken off when the pool was in use in an aggressive manner. Overall, expect it to last for a year, no more.
