Clover CL8004GB Mini Iron, 1, Red

I use this for my applique quilting, and find it ideal. It has 2 heat settings (High and Low) with High recommended for cottons. Being so portable it's useful if you are going to quilting groups to do your work, and if you take a folding ironing pad with you. I can sit at a table and iron the small pieces of fabric easily. It gets very hot but a stand is provided to keep the tip off any surfaces, although it only stays on the stand at a sideways angle. The instructions state it takes about 10 minutes to heat up, although I found it took about half that time. I wouldn't be without it now.

Ideal for seams and small or limited access and difficult ironing task. I also bought the slightly larger adapter head, which was easy to fit and worked fine. Unfortunately, the iron stand is somewhat a 'waste of time', as you can see from photos, it melted onto the iron when rested and the actual stand was not very secure. Luckily, I have several heat mats and just rest it down on those instead. Overall, a useful addition to my crafting space and hopefully get much use out of it!

Very good item for what it does.

I finally got around to making this purchase after dicing with my fingers and a standard iron. It does take a little while to heat up but once it does the job is done very well. Easy to use BUT remember this is an iron and if you touch the heating parts accidents will happen! I wouldn't like to see anyone get injured but you wouldn't touch any "metal" parts on a conventional iron so why do it with this? I found the item very easy to use and able to get a great degree of accuracy in pressing, especially using the freezer paper appliqué method. No burnt fingers, just beautifully pressed items. The stand could be better but I found that placing it on one side of an ironing board so the body of the iron could be accommodated to seemed to temporarily solve the issue. I have ordered the proper stand, just waiting for It to arrive Its a case of once you own and use this iron you'll wonder how on earth you managed without it, an incredibly useful item. The seller Barnyarns are to be highly recommended too!

Heated spatulas can be very expensive. This is an economic solution if you're only looking for basic low or higher heat without fine adjustments. It uses relatively little electricity and gets up to heat quickly enough. I have used it (on low setting) for applying hard wax to repair wood finishes and with a bit of practice it is very effective. I remove unwanted melted wax easily on a wad of kitchen paper, without any scorching. It is also useful for applying small areas from sheets of hot-melt glue (say with patches of veneer). I don't use the stand, which is precarious, but hang the iron somewhere safe out of my way. A warning though, the guard is inadequate - the length of the metal shaft gets very hot (even on low setting) and it is easy to slip your hand onto it when trying to do something tricky. I do not understand why the guard doesn't completely surround the shaft behind the tip. I think not suitable for younger users. Hence three, not four stars.

I bought this to customise a pair of trainers with heat transfer vinyl. It worked great and I can imagine it will be very useful for any small vinyl projects I have that I can't use an Iron or heat press for! Does get very hot so just be very careful you don't touch the metal during use!

Giving four stars because Clover products are normally good and I can’t evaluate yet as I haven’t tried it but it’s disappointing that there’s a screwdriver shaped gap in the molded plastic packaging where I can only presume a screwdriver was supposed to be included.

Fantastico! Utilissimo per i lavori di applique e baltimora. La spina inglese non è un problema, con un adattatore da pochi euro va benissimo. Un grande aiuto, ora non potrei farne a meno.

Unzugängliche innenliegende Kissennähte glatt bügeln, dafür habe ich es gekauft. Bisher habe ich mich bei kleineren genähten Kissen damit ziemlich abgemüht, mit diesem CloverMini-Bügeleisen geht es mühelos. Die lange Vorheizzeit hat mich zuerst befremdet, aber wenn ich etliche Kissen genäht habe und dann zuerst die mit dem großen Bügeleisen zugänglichen Nähte bügle, komme ich mit der Wartezeit zurecht. Ich würde es wieder kaufen.

Deze Clover mini strijkijzer heeft een UK stekker en is daarom totaal ongeschikt om in Nederland te gebruiken! Dit zou niet verkocht mogen worden via de Nederlandse website van Amzon of het zou er zeer duidelijk bij moeten staan.
