how big are the actual stars please

The stars from point to point are 3cm across. Also not sure of it says somewhere on the description or not but there isn't a plug only a usb plug in which isn't an issue for me but might be for others

They have a USB plug so to use you need a USB charger or battery pack with USB outlet.

Do these lights have on/off button?

No there USB plug them in when you want them on, easy.

Can these be powered by a usb phone charger?

I just plugged mine into the sun wall socket which is what I do with my phone as well, so I don't see why they can't be.
