Review: Gets all the moisture out of noise generators - I purchased this as I have seen my audiologist recently and got my noise generators fitted which are like hearing aids. They were really itchy when I first wore them and read that sometimes it's good to clean the plastic material, but I know you need to make sure no moisture gets into the electric mechanism so I found this. This was the best one for the price and had good reviews so I went for it. So far it fits the plastic bit perfectly, and is very easy to use. You just pump the blue rubber material and it pushes all the liquid out. I soaked them in some hot salty water, used this and they feel much better now. Brilliant!

With a few puffs from this little beauty, my hearing aids are free from damp, dust and are dry which increases their efficiency by, I would guess, 15 percent. Given that no hearing aids work well the vast hard of hearing have to squeeze as much out of them as possible. For very little outlay this certainly helps.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: are these suitable for phonak in canal hearing aids**
A: I have been using it for my phonak in-canal aids. the long "pipe cleaner" is thin compared with the size of the "balancing vent" but has helped remove any wax that found its way in.

**Q: I get wax in the tubes will this remove the wax by inserting in to tubes ?**
A: The kit (I have one) in the photo does contain a long wire type device for inserting into the tube and removing wax. That might work for you but its not definite. You can only try it and see if it works.  Your other option is to buy fresh tubes from Amazon , they are available from the hearing aid accessory shops online. The tubes are about 2 inches long. You usually need to cut the tube to size so use your existing blocked tube as a guide then trim the new tube with scissors. This is quite fiddly due to tiny size but in my case I managed it after a few minutes. 
There is a third option check if the NHS hearing dept can help you or there are hearing charities who may help. Check online for Action on hearing loss or RNID

**Q: What tools are included and what is the purpose of each tool**
A: I bought this for my Mother's digital hearing aids - i.e., piece that goes over the ear and mould in the ear.  I find this very useful for cleaning the moulds but of course don't use all the tools as it is obviously for use with various aids.  I am happy with it.

**Q: There is no indication of the batteries required? What size should I get as the small ones I have do not works?**
A: Hi Kathleen
Clarification for you, batteries are not required to use the tool kit. The ref to battery replacement tool is the flat topped tool (on the left in the photo) which can be used to push the used battery out of your hearing aid.

I can't say anything bad about it. Good price and it works. I guess the only thing would be that I wish it had come in a sealed bag but that's about it.
