A decent starter machine for a brilliant price
This is an incredibly good value pasta machine. I'm sure it's not the absolute best one out there but if, like me, you want a cheaper one to try out pasta making for the first time, this is a very good buy. Don't be afraid to try pasta for the first time with this! The machine seems fairly sturdy and has a nice weight. The main base unit stands on the counter/table and you can insert the clamp and secure it over the edge of the surface to keep it in place in use. The turning handle slots in and out so that you can use it to turn the rollers or slot it in to the detachable cutter for spaghetti/linguine. If you've never used a pasta machine before it's fairly straightfoward - take a lump of dough small enough to fit through, set the machine to it's widest setting (setting 1), and feed the dough through while turning the handle to flatten it. Then repeat through successively thinner settings. To change the settings you just pull and twist the knob simultaneously. The whole process is not difficult although on my very first batch I had to start the process over after tearing my pasta, but I very quickly got used to how it works. The instructions state that the machine shouldn't be washed with water - in fact it doesn't require much cleaning at all - but I would suggest setting the rollers apart and wiping it round with a dry cloth on first use as there was an oily residue from manufacture in the corners of the rollers. I would also recommend trying a plain pasta (with strong flour) at first as this is the easiest to work with. My final advice (based on my slightly botched first attempt) is when using the cutting attachment (I made linguine) to take care feeding the cut pasta out so that it doesn't all curl up and stick together. I was so focused on feeding my pasta *in* that I wasn't feeding it out properly. Ideally you want to support the pasta as it comes out (with your hand, or guiding it over a rolling pin or something) and then hang it otherwise it may clump together and your lovely thin pasta will become a pile of stodge :)The only slight issue with the machine is that the rollers are maybe not quite aligned properly - it's only slight but it meant I had to be careful feeding the pasta through to stop it squishing at one side and folding over on itself. But overall I am very pleased as I really just wanted to try pasta making without spending a lot of money. Maybe one day I'll upgrade to a more expensive machine, but for now I'm perfectly happy to use this.

Excellent gadget for sugar craft
I purchased this to roll out my petal paste when making sugar craft flowers. Such a time saver, and gives a lovely consistent result. It takes a bit of getting used to because the petal paste and/or pasta needs to be well floured so it doesn't stick. Also the handle is a bit wobbly and tends to fall out easily. But, that said I'm wondering how I managed without it

Low quality but functional.
Junk really. Very shoddily manufactured. Item comes coated in a disgusting black grease that is very difficult to remove (it will get in your pasta). The surface/desk clamp is poorly designed. Operation is an actual struggle. It feels like the internal parts are grinding. Would work well for soft clay. You're essentially getting what you pay for here, and since you're paying very little, you'll get very little.

Pasta maker
I tried this out but guess my mix was off as it just broke up and that not a reflection on the machine. The machine itself is heavy and fits together easily. I suggest you put a tea folded tea towel down before you clamp this down as it holds it better. The down fall on this was booklet that came with the machine is in such a small print setting I had to get a magnifier glass to read it. Font size is about 7 or 8 which is very small as standard font size is 12. I won't recommend this as I think you need to decide for yourself on this issue. The machine itself does not take up space and was easy to assemble.Gorden Percy (Greenock Scotland) 01/10/2016

Very impressed
Soon as i ordered this i thought it may be a bit cheap and was considering canceling and buying a more expensive one. Im glad i never canceled, this is a very well made machine, its a good size and works perfectly. Since iv got it iv practicaly made all our own pasta, from lasagne to spag bol. Just 1 egg to 100g of bread flour with a dash of oil and roll it through this thing and hey presto, a very nice meal. Better than anything u can get at the supermarket.

Really a bargain!
Great buy. A bargain! I use it for almost a year already. No coplaints. Just don't put really thick pieces of dough and you'll do alright!

Perfect
I use this product for working with clay, it is fantastic, very good price and sturdy too, I do not use this for pasta so I can’t advise how good it is for that but I would have no doubt that it will make great pasta
