a brilliant hand sander = perfect for wooden worktops. Saved us a fortune.
We had our doubts due to the price but after looking at the reviews it is definitely a Bosch 5star sander. Less expensive plus a collection box whereas some need connecting to a hoover ???This was perfect for sanding down real wood worktops, so easy to use, fitted the hand great. The collection box is a great little add, no hoover required - just a strong hand to pull the box off to empty. No dust to speak of, all collected.A great job done, saving us a fortune on getting a tradesman in. We used 80 grit paper to start as several layers of wax and polish to get back to the wood, no trouble. Then it was 120 grit going up to 180 grit finishing with 240grit for a lovely smooth flawless finish. We are novices but will give DIY a go if within our knowledge, a great job done.

Excellent quality
I bought this to sand a front door which is wood and had several layers of gloss paint. This little machine is very good quality. It's easy to use and very effective. I could not have done this job by hand. The speeds are excellent. It came with sanding sheets but I bought more as I will use this sander for other jobs. The design is great, and good for getting into corners of the door frame. You don't have to use any pressure as the sander does the work. Just guide it and let the sander do it's things. The sheets fit the model perfectly. The dust collector was a little difficult to remove the first time, but after that I had no problem. Very good quality sander.

Works well on smaller jobs. Wear a mask!
Small and fairly powerful. Comes with a few sandpaper pads but I bought a large unbranded pack off Amazon that fit and work well. It works well for smaller jobs and the edge of the sander can fit into more fiddly places such as door frame grooves etc. It sanded my table down well but struggles on thicker paint. The dust catcher is fairly useless, it does catch some dust but you still get huge amounts of dust flying through the air so a mask is advised.

Small but mighty
My previous hand sander expired in a whiff of smoke (orange coloured brand, despite their name) in the middle of a project. Normally, I would have a mini tantrum and then go out and panic buy but I decided to be sensible (for a change). I did a bit of research and settled on this.I do like Bosch as a brand and have some of their other tools and a couple of white goods. It was the 3 year warranty and the smaller size that made me choose this particular model. I'm a small woman with small hands and some of the larger sanders are just a bit too bulky, especially if you are doing detailed work. This is light to manoeuvre and doesn't vibrate nearly as much as my last model. Your hands do still feel 'buzzy' if using for a while but it doesn't last long! This feels a quality build and comes neatly packed in a plastic storage case. My only niggle is that the storage case clips require a bit of oomph to secure but at least it's a satisfying click when they do close.

Saves a huge amount of time!
I bought this to sand down panelling I have just recently had done.So glad I hd this! Had saved so much time and done an effective job.The design and weight is easy to hold and move around making it an efficient job.The amount of sanding I had managed to complete in half an hour would have probably taken me hours to do manually. It did make a big mess so be prepared, and wear a mask to cover from the dust!

The quality expected from Bosch
I bought Bosch expecting high quality and wasn't disappointed. Good value and just the job for my needs.

Outstanding
I am so glad I made the upgrade. The difference between this and my previous B and Q special cheapy is broad, but the price difference isn't. I got this on a good deal at £30 (Feb 2021) when a cheaper in a DIY store is about ten quid less. That small extra cost gets you alot more. More manoeuvrability, smoother flow, drastically less vibrations and less mess. Oh and the hardcase, dead chuffed with the hardcase. This was my first Bosch power tool. I'm hooked now. The warranty system online was a doddle. Although I'm confident it will last. You give the details online about your purchase, Amazon is an accepted retailer, and they email you out the warranty certificate and you have a profile on the website. Ideal if you get more Bosch tools. So the most outstanding bit about this product is the amazing sanding ability, but without the severe pins and needles inducing vibrations. It glides effortlessly and whilst undertaking long winded sanding tasks it really doesn't cause that horrible sensation in your working hand nor fatigue. The quality is outstanding. Like I said the difference between a generic cheap one in a DIY store and a low priced Bosch one is huge.I like how how easy it is to use and hold. The design has clearly had a lot of effort placed into ensuring the ergonomics are just right. The sander benefits from a dust extraction and storing canister. It is extremely effective. Sanding is normally messy but this sucks it up really well and makes the whole task a lot less messy. Conveniently it stores all the dust in a removable cannister at the back which makes the task even easy. The capacity is acceptable to me, best for small to medium tasks, you don't have to keep emptying it that often.Overall, I'm a extremely impressed with this. Whatever the next power tool I buy will be, I am highly likely to get a Bosch one based on this sander alone. Like I said, normally I'd buy budget power tools and hand tools.

Good little sander, let down by hard to remove dust collection box.
Great little sander for the smaller jobs. Works well, sanding sheets easy to attach and remove. Drops a star because of the dust collection box, which need s to be pulled from machine as there is no easy release button, and needs to be firmly pushed back on place. Always makes me think this will ultimately fail first
