Do they ask for a photo of your dog before the results are given ?

It is entirely optional whether you send a photo or not. If you would like us to include a photo on the results certificate then you can email one to us but it is up to you. We do not require a photo to run the test and do not send it to the laboratory as the results are based only on the dog's DNA. The photo is added when we issue the results.

Would it identify a cavachon?

Typically it will analyze your dog's DNA into % per breed. Mine came back: 36% Great Pyrenees 60% Border Terrier- with other smaller %s thrown in, the larger figures are the maximum amount... my dog turned out to be a Catalan Sheepdog- which would have been a cross between a Great Pyrenees and a Terrier at some historic point. So the answer is not 'yes' but 'sort of' it'll show you that you haven't been conned : ) Hope this helps.

Can you test if its a show or working cocker

Only Cocker Spaniel is included in the database so Working Cocker and Show Cocker would both report as Cocker Spaniel.

How long before we can expect to receive our results?

I done a 4 swab cheek DNA test some time ago and later found out although I sent to a UK address they sent it to Texas USA and as Texas was having severe weather it was delayed for a few weeks, I am still not sure if this is an accurate result as a lot of other people don't believe it is correct including myself, I think it may have got mixed up with others, I'm thinking of getting a blood DNA at my vets to confirm or not.
