High Quality Net with Fast-Sinking Lead Weights
This net works great for catching bait such as shad to fish for catfish and striped bass. Many state regulates cast net diameter and/or mesh size. Research your local law to ensure that the cast net you are buying is within regulations.Pros:-lead weight allows for faster sinking. Many other nets uses non-lead weight which does not have the same density and therefore do not sink as quick.-1lb per radius foot rating is a good balance of quick sinking yet not too heavy to cast a few times. This rating means that the net has approximately 5lb of lead sinkers.-3/8" mesh size is good for catching shads-box is well madeCons:-box does not have a handle-price is quite a bit more expensive than non-lead cast nets

Great Value
I have used these nets for years. For the money, you cannot find a better cast net. Durable, easy spread, and reliable cast after cast. These nets typically last about 4 years for me. I use these weekly year around. Eventually they tear from fouling on oyster, shell or similar. By the time i need to replace, they have caught thousands of baits.

Opens great!!
Condition ot before using. Soak it over night in water with a good cap full of Snuggle (Fabric softener). Hang it up to dry and never store it wet. Best net you will ever use.

Throws great, but tore way to easily on first use
Net throws great, tangles much less than my 7' Superpro. bought this net because the superpro was tangling way too much and a lot of friends were having trouble because the superpro was too heavy. This net is much lighter and in my opinion sinks as fast as my 7' 1/2" superpro. One complaint is on the first use (last night) several sections tore away from lead line. I have been throwing nets for 30 years and I know they tear if you are not cautious but in my opinion this tore way to easily. I am a little disappointed but repaired it with some braided line and hope it stays in tact. Maybe this was just a defect but I would pay attention if you get one.
