These brush's were recommended by quite a few forums i had been searching on the internet, so naturally i thought id take the plunge & purchase them to see what all the fuss was about. My first impression is that this is a very nice brush for detailing fine lines, because the point narrows to a very fine, and slightly longer end, giving a little more wiggle room to press down (a little) than a 00. It doesn't hold much paint, really, you shouldn't be trying to put a lot of paint on the brush. It seems like a very worthy tool, but it's not a cheap brush. Will I replace my trusty S7s? Nah. But in a pinch, or if I had to start new, I wouldn't mind it. It's available, which is a big deal. Never deep dip. You get more than enough paint on the brush dipping it halfway up the brush at most. This avoids getting paint in the ferrule. That spreads the hairs in the brush, making it lose its point.Cleaning them well is important, especially as we tend to use a lot of acrylic paints. Never let them dry out uncleaned. Don't use too hot water when cleaning, as the ferrule can expand and you might lose hairs. Never mash the brush in the mug or treat it roughly by clinking it against the sides when cleaning/rinsing them, again you'll lose hairs. There are various kinds of brush soap out there, I'd look for one called Masters. Occasionally, give the brushes a little treatment of ordinary hair conditioner (never shampoo) to keep them in good shape.Dry them gently on tissue paper, store them with the point down (preferably with the protection on) and be gentle with them in general.

Mostly a good set for acrylic paints
I really struggle to get very fine good quality paint brushes. The best one is the windsor and newton 000 from Amazon but at £13 its quite expensive so I thought I would try these. Im actually quite impressed with 'most' of the brushes. The 2 smallest I have some issues with. The larger brushes ( they are still very small and fine) wash well, apply paint well and stay in form and haven't separated or splayed. Im especially pleased with the 0 brush and have used this a lot with acrylic paints. The smallest brushes do splay and Ive only used them about 6 times and they will no longer form a point and some of the bristles have come out despite me being very very careful when washing them. So I would say that as a set they are the same price as one of my favorite brushes and therefore as Im pleased with 4 of them they are good value for money. If I wanted 00 upwards then I would order these again but for my 000 brush I will stick with the windsor and newton.

Very good brushes for my use (models - fine detail work)
Very good brushes for my use (models - fine detail work). I like the triangular grip with the taper which should make these easy for most people to use. Good quality compared with other brushes I have used for this sort of purpose, with only one brush having any bristle shed (one or two bristles) so far. For information I use these with a acrylic paints.

Good for delicate work
These are excellent brushes, easy to hold, and great for the fiddly little bits. I have used them for putting the detail onto painting by numbers, and they have done that job well, and lasted well.I also like the way that they have a wider part to grip, it makes holding the paintbrush much more comfortable.

worthwhile brushes
I go through a lot of brushes - these hold their point well and don't splay.have used with master brush cleaner and they stay in shape well.will buy again. On my 5th set now..buying as they really last well. The 0/5 size are particularly good and keep their point really well

Very good for beginners but they go bad quite quickly
I used this for miniature painting. They are quite good pricewise as an initial set of brushes, but they go bad quite quickly. I have used them for few months and painted about 12 miniatures with them and now almost all of the tips of the brushes are bent sideways and barely have a sharp tip. Note that I have used brush cleaning products since the beginning every time I used them, so I have taken care of them. In contrast other slightly better quality brushes I have (e.g. Army Painter) are still in prime condition after more use and same treatment.TLDR:So, if this is your first set of brushes, go for it. If you want something lasting go somewhere else.

Treat yourself.
Painting 40k minis with big hands is fiddly enough but these shaped brushes make it so much easier, should have bought some ages ago. Had them a few weeks now and used a couple of them quite a lot for fine/small details and they are great, still holding their shape very well too. As with all brushes good brush care helps. If you find holding a thin little brush awkward for fine details these may very well help.

These brushes are fantastic, after buying lots of brushes from big 'chain' art stores these are by far the best. I have waited a month to see what the wear and tear was like, and after usage, they have not frayed or worn at all yet. A great price for the value of the brushes. Perfect precision detail brush, will definitely buy again.
