This is a very high quality tool. The weight is very good, and holds down bacon that likes to curl up. Which is horrible if you want a crunchy rind and fat that is rendered.This would be great on a bbq. It can absolutely handle the heat.The handle being wood never got hot.Easy to clean.The underside has no ridges and is completely flat, which I wanted. You can even use it for grilling sandwiches, burgers. It’s just so good.I know this tool will last longer than my grill I have! That reminds me I need a new grill…..

Great product and good weight. Glad I purchased it over the cast iron press. Used it to make smash burgers and also for mushroom steak. The raw meat didn’t stick while pressing. Love it!

While the product is well made and seems sturdy. I was a little disappointed with the 4 rivets that intrude on the surface of the plate - it is like 0.5mm 'bump' as you run the finger over it. I have sanded back to make an entirely flat surface - but clearly the surface planning is done after the tool is put together. Saying that - it is a worthwhile product to buy and I am overly fussy.

The 8.5” version of this stainless press is massive, too big for small pans but if you’re making loads of smash burgers on a plancha then this is so big it’ll do 2 at once no problem.Very heavy, nice wooden handle. Have also ordered the 6” as well.

Really good quality. Heavy build. You just know it will last a long long time. Does the job brilliantly.
