## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this material cope with high temperature? I may need to put it very close to a rather hot light - is it non-flammable / heat resistant?**
A: I have not tested the material with high temperature bulbs i.e. Tungsten. I have been using it with low power "fluorescent" lamps and at least 10cms away from the light box. I had noticed that the material get slightly hot with only 5 minutes of constant light pointed at it.

**Q: Have you found this to be adequate or better, at diffusing studio lighting from a softbox/lamp? Thanks so much.**
A: Hi Evan, I use mine to diffuse window light, drape/crumple over any harsh light, which cant be done with a softbox simply because there are no 2m square softboxes and they dont bend. I often double / triple it so I can change the level of diffusion at will. I can change the distance between the flash/light source and the material to change the effect. I can make it any shape I need and its cheap. The one thing I dont do is use it as shown in the add. Take care. Keith

**Q: Hi can you screen a projector against this so you can see it the other side clearly?**
A: Sorry, I have no experience of using the lights in that manner. I suspect that the projected image may not be clearly seen on the reverse side. The fabric is, after all, a light diffuser.

**Q: Could this work for shadow puppetry purposes?**
A: not sure...depends on how hard your shadow edges need to be to be effective

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Effective diffuser material at a decent price

A decent price (£6.99) for a quite a big piece of diffuser material. I actually only needed a couple of small pieces of diffuser material to use on a LED light panel. I attach one or two layers across the light's barn doors to get a larger surface and softened light. And for this it does a great job. I think it would also be good for replacing a damaged diffuser on a softbox, or for diffusing natural light from a window. For my needs, the full piece of material was way too big and heavy to clip on to the light's barn doors, but cut down into more manageable pieces, this has been great at defusing the light from the panel for video work. Note: I use this with a cold LED panel; as it's nylon, I'd check before using with hot lights.
