Can i remove this top coat and the cnd vinylux colour under it with my usual boots or quickies nail varnish remover pads? thank you.

Yes, you can use ordinary nail varnish remover to remover CND Vinylux polish.

Why does the item go thick my bottle was a present

mine has not gone thick but I have been told to keep nail polishes in your fridge. I would try diluting it with a tinyamount of nail polish remover.

No dear you don't need any UV light, just a normal top coat, so all you need is to wait a few moments to complete drying and then enjoy your polish. : )
