Best weedkiller I have ever used!
I have lived in this house now for 10 years, and have always had a problem with weeds and grass coming up through the very old, and thinly-gravelled path, gravelled area outside kitchen door, slate-chipped area (with an a very old weed suppressant blanket underneath it), and my very old, cracked driveway. I am very ill with M.E. so don't have the money to get all these areas renewed or maintained. I also am unable to have the extra strength and energy to pull weeds in these areas, so I reluctantly use weedkiller. In previous years I have tried various weedkilless, and whilst they work for a few weeks, weeds sp then start to appear again. Even weedkilling using a sprayer makes me ever so ill, so doing it once a year is preferable. This product has been the answer to my prayers! Last year I bought a 1.5L hand pump sprayer for this. It worked a treat, and lasted all year, and unbelievably, into this year too! It's now the start of May, and usually these areas are getting thick with new weed growth.....not this year! There's barely any! I found the smaller pump sprayer too hard last year, so last Summer I bought a Spear and Jackson 5L sprayer with a wand. I have just finished spraying, and although it's made me very ill, spraying with the larger sprayer set down on the ground, and just having to hold the lightweight wand, was much easier. I also split the dose into two....one 3l lot, and one 2l lot. This made carrying the sprayer a bit lighter. Unfortunately I believe the sprayer's pressure release valve broke half way through, so I made a quick repair using 1" Gorilla tape.....which suprisingly seemed to work! Using either of these sprayers makes it much more accurate, as you can see where you have been. I telephoned the Weedol company the other day, and asked advice, as the instructions say that you can spray the planting pit underneath established shrubs and trees. I was interested in this as I have several shrubs, and a tree growing in the lawn. The advice was to spray carefully, as it will obviously kill the area of lawn arounder the tree or shrub, but it will also kill all the weeds that have, in my case swamped the planting pit area. It is imperative that you only spray around shrubs and trees that have old, established trunks or branches. They need to be covered in bark. If you spray any areas that have green growth, new shoots or even a new split in the bark, then it will kill them! I have tentatively sprayed mine, as they are all well established, but I am a bit nervous! If I remember, I will come back on and update you as to how this worked, or if it killed off all my shrubs and my tree! Important: This concentrated mixture, once used, must be used up within 48 hours, or it won't work! This goes for the concentrated "Verdone/Weedol Lawn" mix as well. If you use the already mixed spray of Verdone, it doesn't matter...it's just the concentrated liquid that you have to mix up yourself, that only lasts 2 days. TIP FOR THOSE WITH ENERGY/STRENGTH PROBLEMS: If you have any energy/strength problems like me, I would recommend investing in a 5L sprayer for this, and only filling it up to the 2-3l mark at a time. This means you can then sit the container on the ground, whilst you spray with the lightweight wand sprayer. It's soooo much easier than using a watering can or small hand sprayer! It still makes me ill, because you will have to pump the pressurised sprayer about 25 times, several times, but in my opinion, it's still easier.

Weedol Pathclear Weedkiller
Easy to use especially with a pressure spray. Rapidity of results depends on the weather and reacts quicker when it’s sunny and warm. Does the job on the majority of weeds. Good value for money from this seller. Would certainly use this seller for a future purchase.

More environmentally friendly than using mutant gas!
I don't like using chemical weedkillers HOWEVER, we have a large garden with brick pathways; compound this with the fact that our house is surrounded by fields, with a large amount of seeds being distributed by the wind, birds etc, then it is either spending hours, if not days removing weeds by hand, using a propane torch (weed wand) or a once a year treatment of a proprietary weedkiller such as this product. I use this product in conjunction with a large spray bottle. The manufacturer recommends using 1 sachet of solution with 1 litre of water in this configuration (diluted with 2 litres of water in a watering can). I find that even diluting with two litres in a sprayer, it works just as well, albeit a trifle longer to kill the weeds. I have found it to be effective against most weeds, with nettles in particular killed quickly. It is a similar result with broad leafed weeds, thistles and even brambles dealt with swiftly. I have found that be spraying from top to bottom of the weed, it minimises the use of the solution, only spray where you need to and if treating the soil, or in my case, paths, spray sparingly. A little goes a long way. All in all, a good product for once a year application.

DESIGN ISSUE
Issues with the operation as the design meant that periodically the connector from pump to contents pulled over and I no longer had an operating system. A pin to lock the connector in an upright position is highly desirable. I suspect I will open the container and decant the contents into a watering can for future use.

Will do the Job others claim to do
Weedol Pathclear Weedkiller.... There are a lot out there that claim to do a good job in respect of clearing all types of weeds and or green plant life not wanted but a lot do not do what it says on the description. This is a clear winner as it does all the things it says and more. It stated that action can take days, up to a week, but this as shown in the photo started to do the job I needed in less than 12 hours from using in the morning and going to look to see if anything had happened it had started to kill not just a weed, but one of the most hardy weeds there is out there to clear which is any of the variety of climbing plants, especially the one in the photo called Climbing Snapdragon. So not only will this product do the job you want on ANY weeds because if it can hurt this weed it will kill anything but it also has 8 sachets to cover a total area of 160m2 which is a really big area! I am not employed, I do not get paid for this write up I am just trying to help anyone with the same problem as me and save you time and money.

Good product. Works well
I apply Weedol Pathclear annually to both a driveway and rear patio as I was fed up with the never ending task of manually scraping between the bricks to remove moss and weeds, often unable to get at any long roots which just re-sprouted very quickly. It's easy to apply (I dilute as per instructions and use a watering can with a fine rose, as I don't have a weedkiller sprinkle bar or garden sprayer). It kills all the weeds as promised and prevents new growth (for up to 3 months it says on the product). I find it lasts longer - 4 months or so - which is good as the instructions say to apply to an area only once per year. If a few weeds appear later, I spot treat them as there's not many to deal with.
