Works with Blink doorbell
Easy to set up, but be careful, the wiring sceews and attachments are small and fiddly and can get lostOverall works very well. Nice and loud

Powers my ring doorbell. Easy to install.
Bought this to replace the existing one which didn't have a powerful enough transformer to power our ring doorbell. This one does. Simple two wire installation. Loud too and works with Ring doorbell as well as the chime. Perfect for what i wanted. .

Good choice if you want to mains charge your video door bell
After lots of searching I found only two doorbell options rated with 8 volt transformer. This one I thought was 8v but the label says 7v. Regardless it worked seemlessly with my AOSU Video camera doorbell. The doorbell has 5000 mah battery. Required transformer is 8-24 volt. However this one with 7V works fine. Doorbell chime is also ringing without any issues. It looks simple and inferior to the doorbell it replaced but functional and I am happy. At least I didn't need to put extra external transformer. đ

Powers Ring Doorbell. Easy to Install
I bought this unit from Amazon Warehouse, but the one they sent me was totally dead on arrival which was very frustrating. I bought the same unit from another retailer and the device linked up and powered our Ring Doorbell. It was easy to wire up, using our existing bellwire, which is linked to the terminals marked 0 and 2 inside the chime.Mains power runs into the inbuilt transformer and powers to Ring Doorbell via the bellwire. It also means that there is a pleasing white ring around the push button on the Ring Doorbell, which isn't on when it's powered by battery. The Ring Doorbell still links to any existing Ring wireless chimes, but as we have had a Ring for some time, it doesn't actually ring these from time to time, so you miss visitors. Now we have a traditional chime that's far more reliable and delivers constant power to the Ring Doorbell.I have briefly tried this also with the Blink Doorbell we have at a different location. The Blink Doorbell says it requires 16v (this chime is rated at 7 or 8v depending on which documentation you read), but it seems to function as a chime quite happily with the Blink Doorbell. I can't say whether it powers it as well, but it does function as a chime straight out of the box.A couple of negatives... this is not a very loud chime compared to other "ding dong" chimes we've had in the past, so if you have a large house, this might be an issue. Also, the documentation supplied with this unit is woefull and inaccruate. I've had other Byron products in the past and these were the same, so it's not really a surprise, but for a leading manfacturer of doorbell products, it would be nice if they could actually spend ten minutes writing more complete instructions and getting the technical specifications of their own products right! But the bottom line that most will be interested in here is that this is a chime that works with and powers the Ring Doorbell, so on that note, I'm really happy with the purchase (once we got one that worked).

Not compatible with Ring as they claim
I feel compelled to write a review about this product, not because there is anything inherently wrong with its functionality as a chime, nor because the seller was unhelpfulâthough their assistance did not fully meet my expectations. The primary issue lies in the product description, which explicitly states that it is compatible with wired Ring doorbells. This implies that the transformer within the device generates the recommended level of output ratings. However, it does not, and the specifications, even without attempting to use it as I did, clearly indicate this discrepancy.I find this situation entirely unacceptable, particularly because I was unable to install the product within the standard return period. To their credit, the seller did offer to accept the return even after this period had passed, though returning it was no longer feasible for me. That detail, however, is somewhat irrelevant, as I should never have been placed in this position in the first place due to what can, at best, be described as a careless or misleading product description.
