'Illmatic' is the debut studio album by American rapper Nas, released in April 1994. Have loved this for nearly twenty years. Sad to say that many of the themes of the album are still relevant today just like they were when it was first released. Depravation, crime and drugs in many communities in America still cause lasting damage.

Undoubtedly the Best
This is undoubtedly the best Hip-Hop Album of all time. A display of Nas' lyricism and storytelling. All hip hop fans should have this album in their collection. Where artists today feel the need to pack an album with 15 to 20 songs Nas' debut has only 10, but it still packs a lot more feeling than 90% of the so called rap released today. Every single song on the album is a classic with age this album only gets better and it's a shame Nas didn't continue this standard. You should own Illmatic.

MUST BUY!
I have listened to this album for years now and decided to buy the CD for my younger brother as a Christmas gift, hopefully this will send him down the right musical path as this is the dopest album of all time. The lyrics the beats everything! A great insight into a young Nas's street life in Queens Bridge.

The greatest hip hop album ever,by the greatest rapper ever.thats the best way to sum up this album,nas showed his lyrical genius on main sources breaking atoms album before this was released,and if u heard his verse on "live at the bbq",then u knew this album was gonna be special.if u like hip hop,u MUST own this album,it's the best,no other rapper has produced an album like this ever.genius.

The pressing is good quality very clear. Unfortunately I received a sleeve that is damaged. The box I received the record in is not damaged so the record must have been damaged before packing….
