ThinkGeek 65cm Minecraft Foam Replica 1/1 Diamond Sword

This doesn't look as authentic as the pick axe that I bought. Think the colours a bit bright but I'm sure the kids will love it anyway. It arrived on time and was very well packaged. ************* **************** **************** ******************* I am re reviewing this after giving this to my daughter for Christmas. It was a real hit, she absolutely loved it, it was definitely one of her favourite presents. It has also stood the test of time, being made from very good quality materials. So glad I kept this present after my first impression was to send it back because I thought it didn't look authentic. It just shows what I know about minecraft... Absolutely nothing!

After reading reviews about fake items, I was worried about purchasing a counterfit sword as my son would know stright away and didn't want to waste my hard earned cash. I purchased direct from amazon and received a genuine diamond sword from thinkgeek with the correct cardboard sleve packaging and the thinkgeek writing in the bottom corner. It actually looks quite sturdy and I know my son will live it as he's been dropping hints for one almost daily. It will be put on the wall in his room with picture hooks so he can take down and play with it when he wants. Great item.

Fantastic toy for kids of all ages. The foam is soft enough so there is no risk of harm for child but solid enough for playing, just be careful because the spot just below the cross-guard is the more fragile.

Good size of sword. Came with no protectionand was slightly warped when unwrapped. It was broken into two parts within a few weeks as the handle was hard plastic and the "blade" made from foam.

I bought this with slight reservation as it's not the official minecraft sword I thought the quality may suffer because of the price. The item was delivered within the time given and when my son opened this on Xmas day he was beaming. It's a great size and looks just like the real thing, worth saving a few quid on.

Please DO NOT BUY this diamond sword, the handle (which I thought was foam) is plastic. Also, the foam looks painted and when it came to my door, was all creased and nasty. If you are thinking of buying it, don't. Find another diamond sword because this isn't what it says on the advertisement.

Large foam swords for mine craft fans highly overpriced in my opinion for what it is. Kids loved it though

Great present they lasted 3 months my sons had a lot of fun until one hit his against a wall and broke his foam.
