BrainBox Horrible Histories Vile Villains

I purchased this for a 9 year old Horrible History fan's birthday. We've purchased several BrainBox games in the past and have always found them to be high quality and this was no exception. The cards in the game contain facts and pictures, which test your memory and knowledge. You are meant to do this against a timer, we sometimes play with or without. The BrainBox ranges are aimed at different age groups and this 8+ is perfectly targeted for a 9 year old. The cards contain the usual irreverent take on history that Horrible Histories contain and it really is the perfect way to expand upon the books and TV show. Highly Recommended.

I bought this for my eleven year old brother for Christmas. He already had the Nature Brain Box and being a huge Horrible Histories fan, I didn't think twice before buying this edition. Although other Brain Boxes can be a little young for that age group, the HH Box was perfect for him - and for the rest of us! We've played again and again, learning all sorts of interesting facts. I would certainly recommend this to anyone thinking about buying it for your very own Horrible Histories fan - it's written with the same humour as the books and manages, in a very HH way, to impart knowledge without it seeming like you are learning.

I was searching through the masses of Horrible Histories things on here and found this. Wasn't too aware of BrainBox myself, and my children aren't 8+ but it was cheap enough that i thought i'd give it a try. Well both my five year old and my seven year old love Horrible Histories and they love this game. We have done away with the timer, it was too quick to run out, even i didn't have enough time to properly look at the card including reading everything and i've never been considered a slow reader. We have changed that bit to the words on the card need to be read out loud and then a bit of time to check out the pictures. We like our method, it doesn't detract from the game aspect and it means that we all at least get the chance to hear the facts and maybe retain them for future reference. But i guess thats the beauty of it, its such a simple concept, main game components - cards with facts and pictures and test your memory/knowledge questions, incidental game components - dice, timer. it means you can make the game work for you. I will be looking to get other versions of BrainBox now because this one was so good. i hope they live up to the great standard they set with this one.

Bought these for my niece (7yrs). She's really into the whole 'Horrible Histories' thing, so I felt these would go down a storm... I was right! Even the adults love playing this game. Some of the historical facts are a bit near the knuckle considering the age group that they're aimed at... but they don't fail to entertain. A really great way for kids of all ages to learn about history. I'd recommend it! :-)

Bought for son who's not really into games but loves HH - and anything to do with history, actually. He loves it. On their turn, each player takes a card and looks at it for 10 seconds. Then roll a dice and someone asks the question corresponding to the number rolled. Essentially a memory game, quite tricky but good fun.

Entire contents not included. The die and timer were missing.

I love these brainbox games, they are really run yet educational and have a subject suitable for almost everyone. hours of fun to be had and a perfect gift price

I am running out of words for these presents I was asked for.Suffice to say the rubbish bin looked an inviting receptacle.

It's a game that doesn't require any set up and can be played quickly if time is limited. The kids (and I) are learning interesting factoids about historical figures and enjoying it to boot! Fun!

Esa no es una critica del producto que es bueno, pero te aviso que no equivocas como yo, que yo lo compro para usar en clases de ingles para clases empezando a 5º de primaria para arriba, y aparte de tener ingles de nivel demasiado difícil, tampoco es muy apto en descripciones de tortura etc. Pero estoy usando para clases de adultos y lo encantan.
