Good but plastic pot poor quality
The beans are good but the plastic pot was damaged when it arrived so no use whatever to store them in had to buy a second tub as the first one wasn’t enough for a large dish I bought but overall a good productNow keep them in a canning jar which works really well as you can poor them in straight from the oven as these jars are made to withstand heat ( I alway leave the lid open until they cool down though )

Arrived next day as promised and used for baking a tart, did what was required with blind baking. Appeared a little grainy rather than smooth ceramic and a little smaller than some but reflected in price. Easy to clean and store. Reasonable quality - you get what you pay for

Where have you bean all my life?
After having a chat with my mum - expert quiche maker and nearly 80 years old - she remembers having Tala branded items in her 'bottom drawer' when she got married. This is a brand that has stood the test of time. After many accidents using old rice to blind bake (I also seem to spill it everywhere!!!). I decided to purchase the Tala baking beads. Now blind baking a quiche using Tala's excellent 20cm quiche tin (also sold on Amazon) is a cinch and I've got the added bonus of a tub to store the beans too. Highly recommended.

Every cook should have them
Gone are the days of wasting rice. That is what I grew up doing. Wish these baking beans were around then. CAUTION:they get quite hot after being used.
