Philips Hue Bloom Dimmable Colour Changing LED Smart Mood Lamp (Compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant)

Been putting off buying these bulbs as I know I would just want more. Now I’m hooked. Linked up to Alexa using the hub (bought separately) these bulbs are slightly pricy however they are more than worth it. The hue app is very user friendly and has some great functions. You can set the lights to come on as you drive into the drive way and switch off when you leave the house. The disco app is incredible. I plan on filling every room with these bulbs. If you are thinking about it trust me just go for it. They pay for themselves in the long run from running costs. Definitely recommend Have these set up behind the tv and they give off an amazing backlight effect. Great for corners and up-lighting effects

Although expensive if you have already invested in the Hue system this is a must purchase! i have it placed behind my TV which then fills the full wall with whatever vibrant colours i choose, or late evening i can turn to an orange/yellow colour and dim the other lights to make it feel all warm and cosy. They are not as bright i would say as the normal bulbs but do fill a full wall with colour and the colours seem much more vivid then the normal bulbs, but i suppose this is its purpose not to make the room light but to cast colours, which it does this brilliantly. It feels a very quality product made of a kind of pot rather than plastic too.

A real nice looking lamp. A modern style that can suite many rooms and areas. A big fan of stuff that can work with Alexa as well of having it be controlled via an app, even setting routines for the kids with having the lamps come on or off for bedtime/morning is a great bonus . Only two negatives i have two of these is there is no gap for the lead to double back under the lamp to keep it tucked away tidy, it has to either rock on the lead or go around the side which if not pulled close to it can be seen, also as i have these for kids lamps for there bunk bed, for them to be in control of there light for night time/ early morning i have brought two dimmer switches to be used next to them, unfortunately the dim of the colour is not particularly good (if none exinsistant) on this lamp. Overall thou i would still recommend.

After much deliberation and a friend of mine talking me into it, I entered the world of Philips Hue. I went a bit over the top for my first purchase, which included 4 of these blooms (3 for living room and 1 as a bedside lamp), 9 GU10s & 2 dimmer switches. Not going to go on about Hue, as this is a review for the blooms, and I must say they are great. Nicely built and I believe they are ceramic? You get some great light from them. I use one of these in my living room as our lamp, the other two are used as back lighting - one under the TV cabinet and the other on our sideboard against the wall. Everyone who comes round is impressed with them. They are a little expensive as are all the Hue items, but glad I got them.

I love the Philips Hue series and adding these to my collection allows for a perfect cinema feel with one set up at either side of the TV. You will require the Philips Hue Bridge and have the app installed on your smart phone to use but having a light you can easily turn on and off, change the colours and set the lights up to pre-defined or custom themes makes using these lights a breeze. The power cable provided is quite long too which is always handy. Would recommend this to anyone looking at having custom lighting options.

Quite nice for adding a little accent colour to a corner, but it's fairly apparent if you have it positioned where you can see the 'face' that it has 3 different colour LEDs behind the glass so to get a satisfactory blend of colours it really needs to be shining against something. I was also hoping it would dim further so I could use it to simulate a sunrise but it goes from off to about 20% brightness with nothing in between unfortunately. It could use better cable management too.

After a lot of planning I wanted a light specifically to light up my background for YouTube videos. I wanted a Hue product so I can control it with my smart device for ease. After trying a few Hue products I settled on the Bloom light and it works flawlessly! It lights up the background and compliments my current light setup well and gives my background that something special it’s been missing and really makes it pop! Got this for a friend who's just started getting Philips Hue lights (you need to buy the controller separately before this will work). I was surprised to find this is a ceramic lamp which looks really smart. The small power lead comes out of the front of the base (you're supposed to point it at a wall so then the lead is not really seen), it did make it a little hard to position but once it was in place and the wire was adjusted it was fine. Gives a good amount of coloured light for such a small lamp - my friend was very pleased. Think I'll be buying myself one next
