A great starter tray
We found out the stray cat we had taken in was pregnant and I bought one of these for the kittens. It is brilliant for very young kittens (4 to 7 weeks). it is very easy for them to get in and out of and our two little ones took to it very easily. It was very handy to use inside a large cat where they were first kept for safety reasons (we were unsure how are other cats would react to them)

okay
it was fine for my bunny for some time until she discovered than the lowered front is perfect for kicking out contents lol. It is quite small but I know that from the dimensions.

Just right
Absolutely perfect for my 7 week kitten, who took to it right away and found it very easy to get in and out. The downside is he's grown a lot and at 13 weeks, and a dedicated digger, needs a bigger tray now. But we don't regret getting it because it was very good for him to start with, and will now be his travel one as it fits just under his carrier.

... first experience of adopting a kitten I thought the poor little creature would need a small litter tray that ...
I've only ever adopted adult cats before so as my first experience of adopting a kitten I thought the poor little creature would need a small litter tray that was easy to get into, boy was I wrong. As we adopted our kitten from a cat and dog home we couldn't take her home until she was 8 and a half weeks, by this point she was already too big for this litter tray, I mean she could fit in it but not really turn around and have a good old dig that is all part of the process, also she didn't need the dipped front as she was more than capable of getting over the side, so we used ours for less than a week before we had to buy her a new one. This may be of some use if your own cat is having kittens and they need to use it very early on but if you are getting a kitten at the usual 8 week mark I would say save your money and just buy a standard rectangular one with a lowish side or put a book on the floor to create a step for them.

Good but very small
Really small but very good for a young kitten. Our kitten found it too small to go, though

Awesome for a tiny kitten!
I mean, you cant say a lot about a litter tray - but this is a brilliant "beginner" box for very young kittens (ie under 15 weeks) The size is great for tiny cats, the sides are actually quite steep, preventing accidental spills or poop "man-overboard" incidents, and while they are learning to bury, minimises litter fling from an over-exuberant bit of archaeology; but the low lip at the front means even a kitty with stumpy little pins can easily get in and out. Before 15 weeks though you'll need to upgrade - My cat was 13 weeks when it became clear he was starting to find digging a hole for and burying his chocolate kisses a bit tricky due to lack of room to maneuver. He is however a master at using his big-boy cackpan though, and Im putting a lot of the credit on this "training tray". Its strictly a kitten tray though - the low entrance might be appealing for someone with a small and elderly/ arthritic cat - but bear in mind the box has a footprint roughly the size of a piece of A4 paper: so unless your cat is dinky, its not worth the disappointment!

too small for even the tiniest kittens, the litter ends up all over the floor as soon as they start digging.
