The book and elf came in this very beautiful packaging and I was amazed at the amount of quality and time that must have gone into this book and toy. The book was perfect! you can tell that this book was made with love from the gloss paper finish, quality hardcover, nice weight and size, and beautiful illustrations that are colorful and vibrant to the point that not only does it serve as a structure to carry the story along, but aids in setting the magical tone of the book while bringing the depictions of the story to life. The rhymes were so cute and reminded me of my childhood book Dr. Seuss and I loved the way that the story was told because it embarks the child on an adventure with their elf friend as a way to get to know him. During your adventure, you get to name your elf friend and by the end of the book, your little elf friend magically transforms into a doll that can be by your child's side.On the other hand, the elf toy was very well crafted I loved how flexible the toy was you could bend his arms to the front and the back, the legs bent at the knee giving the illusion that the elf could walk, the hips bent upward allowing you to sit or stand the little guy anywhere in your house and what was most neat is that you could bend his legs down as a way of imitating that his feet are dangling over the edge as he sits on top of the shelf which adds to him being more human-like.Overall: This book is an amazing gift to any child, within your family and I believe this will serve as the perfect gift for my nephew. If you are a person who is looking for a fun present to give to a child, then this is the ideal present because not only does it serve as a beautiful story to read, learn new words, and create everlasting memories that your child will never forget, the elf toy is the perfect companion for a child to get into the spirit of Christmas.

This is a great book for kids and the whole family this holiday season, I love that the elf is very flexible and can be placed anywhere in your home to create fun memories with your kids! To book lovers everywhere - This book is a real eye catcher for children! It’s very colorful, and has a lot of familiar Christmas decorations everywhere. If your child has never met an elf, or dreams of meeting elves, this book is a great start! My son really liked the elf magic. With everything they can do with their magic, it made us laugh and talk, and think “What if we could do that?!” This book really captured my child’s imagination, like he was in the book. Perfect! I could tell, because he sat there staring into it, smiling. My personal favorite part of the book was when you “take a deep breath and you can smell your favourite candy”. Oh gosh, we both started laughing about what candy we smelled!!! (P.S. ♥️Chocolate won!). I also liked how the elf introduced the other elves, because it was very much like real life, when we meet people and say hi. However, in this book, you get to sing and dance when you meet new friends! Maybe that’s the answer to spreading love in our world - to sing and dance a little bit more. This book truly makes a child think, and dream, and wonder. So if your child loves the thought of going to a toy factory and sitting with elves that are happy, hard workers, then this would be the book to get them. It teaches a child that having good manners, being a kind person, and working hard, can really make a person happy. Plus, if you want to feel at home for the holidays (whether you are or not), this book will definitely make you feel like anywhere can be Christmas. Another thing that really caught my attention as an adult reading this book to my child, were the Christmas drawings the kids had made that were hanging on their bedroom walls after arriving back home. After we read the book that’s exactly what we did! We got creative and started drawing Christmas pictures too! Now we have something to keep, that we created because of reading this. At the end of the book, being able to see the two children holding their elf dolls, and having that exact elf doll sitting right beside us, put a smile on our faces. You’ll really like this book. Fast delivery too — I got it in 1 day.The packaging really is SPOT ON! It was packaged beautifully — both the Elf and Book neatly together inside protective plastic.The elf itself is SO cute. I love that his cute little body moves — arms, legs, knees, etc! It can be put into different positions including standing on its own! My granddaughter is going to love both the elf and book. I love how big the book is and that it is a hardcover. The illustrations are so cute, vibrant and colorful. The story itself is very interesting and fun! I enjoyed reading it myself even as an adult! *hehe*I highly recommend this Elf and Book! It is durable and amazing quality — the perfect package! I am so happy with this purchase! Let me start by saying, the elf on the shelf was a tradition I did not have growing up. Even as an adult I didn't quite understand it until I picked this book up (it's going to the nephew). SO CUTE! The illustrated book that comes with it is beautifully done and gives an adorable story about the magic of elves. It gives a nice introduction and it is written in a way that you can easily make it interactive! The colors are rich and vibrant. The children depicted are diverse which is in and of itself a win for kids to be able to see themselves in the story. The book itself is sized perfectly for a little one's hands so they can be the coveted page-turner!The elf is pretty cute too. About the size of maybe a Bratz doll and fully opposable. Seriously, they put some real thought into how the elf is going to be used and made it very flexible. It's sturdy as well and made of quality material. I don't feel like it is going to break easily like some. Definitely more confident in having the elf do some fun stunts. But also, feeling good that it'll stand up to the nephew. I may gift more than one of these just on the cute factor alone. Can't wait to start this tradition with my family :)
