Really good way to take payments by card without having to pay for a terminal monthly. Also great for using at trade shows and stands and the type of place where it costs to pay for electricity to your work space. Great for small businesses. Fairly cheap processing fees too. My only complaint is that you have to watch the battery life - make sure you switch off properly in between using as it goes flat. Otherwise it's great! You can also even take cards where a signature is required (I had a customer over from the USA who didn't have chip and pin). Your phone screen is the signature screen.

Great little device for taking payments on. Syncs well with my iPhone X and the money goes straight into my Paypal account. When I transfer from there it’s instantly in my bank account. It take chip and pin and contactless payment. I love this machine

Easy to tuen on and fast to boot up. Contactless is very good and rates have been improved. Charges fast and lasts a long time between charges. The BEST feature over other card readers is that it's your mobile app that tells the reader which account the unit is paying the money to. Therefore you can borrow one from a friend and be assured it's not your friends account that the money is being paid to. Solid button presses let you know you've pressed the button, some other newer ones have touch sensitive buttons and don't work as well as the traditional rubber keys. Very pleased with this, I wouldn't have however paid £75 and did get it for £47 which is much more realistic given these kind of devices will go wrong at some point, especially if you leave them bouncing around a metal cash tin!

Loved it even still in the box, really nice packaging. Once out of the box, I was able to apply and take a card payment in minutes with my iPhone! Simply AMAZING! Being able to accept contactless payments is also really cool.

I think this is great value for money but I wish there was a 'premium' version available. It feels cheap and tacky and mine has now broken because of the poorly designed micro USB input used to charge it. I purchased mine for £35 on here but now I see the price has shot up. I wish they offered a better quality device, I would happily pay more money for that but I won't purchase another one now that they are £50, it'll only break again. Shame really as PayPal will lose out on the transaction fees.

I bought the reader and installed the app on my phone. Just then PayPal informed me that I was not allowed to use it! This is the reply I've got from PayPal: "Thanks for your interest in PayPal Here. Unfortunately, we’re not able to offer PayPal Here to you on this occasion. To make the best assessment of your circumstances and to determine your eligibility, we may have contacted credit reference agencies to check your credit history. We may also have used information from CIFAS, the UK’s fraud prevention service. " I can not see anything about a credit check/eligibility/credit reference agencies here. Dear PayPal, May be it would be a good idea to warn your customers about that and not waste their time and money. First of all there are no issues what so ever with my PayPal account or with my credit rating. There are no warnings in my account, I've never had a dispute opened against me or even asked for a refund. I called them, but PayPal gave me a vague explanation and they were not helpful at all. I still have no idea what's wrong with my PayPAl account and if there is any way to resolve the mysterious issue...Obviously the reader is useless I've returned it to Amazon. I would not recommend this product and I have switched to izettle.

Perfect for what I need. I’m a private hire cab driver and this is so useful and easy to set up and use.

I needed a replacement device in a hurry, the PayPal customer service folk suggested I could get one fastest from Amazon. Thankfully it arrived really quickly and worked a treat. Having the display screen on the device is a great improvement on the older model.
