Review: Great product, recommended highly but would be useful to know how much you are meant to use for one refil :) - I love Versamark and it is the only product I will use for embossing. My pad ran dry while I was getting Christmas orders finished and I ordered this so I could get them finished. The only reason I have not given five stars is that I wasn't sure how much I was meant to use, if this bottle was meant to last for several refils or if it was the exact amount to refil one pad, and there are no instructions on the bottle or on the listing. I had to look up a Youtube video of how to refil a pad to find out, so to save anyone else having to go and look it up it takes only about 1/8th of the bottle to fill a pad, I refilled three as I had two other dry pads which for some reason I had stuck in a drawer rather than throw out, and the liquid in my bottle is still about 4mm above the label, but the bottle that I received is a different shape to the pictured one, its more slimlined at the top but it holds exactly the same amount of ink. It is not waterproof, but after you put the powder on it and hit emboss the image become waterproof. There are interesting techniques in youtube with Hot Embossing. Check the videos of Jennifer Mcguire. **Q: Can you use this on all colour ink pads please ?** A: No, it’s a refill for the versamark ink pad which is clear, it can be used as a ‘watermark’ (e.g. on coloured card, it goes a darker shade of the card, very effective.). But it is mostly used with coloured or clear embossing powder. It is thicker and stickier than dye inks and would change the composition of the dye ink. It would probably also distort the effect of pigment inks by diluting the colour I think, although i have never done this. **Q: has it got a sponge type on the top** A: No, this is used for adding more ink to the sponge ink pad, this bottle has a small tip to allow you to apply ink where needed on the separate ink pad. **Q: Can this be used with a dip pen?** A: I don't see why not. It is a thick liquid so should drip well and not be too runny.
