Turtle Wax 50191 Rubbing Compound Car Paintwork Cleaner Heavy Duty 298G

I had a little bump in my up! There was some rubber tyre transfer that wouldn't come off and I watched a YouTube video that recommended this... It's a miracle product! Tyre mark has gone, and other stains on the paintwork gone too. Worth every single penny!

This is a heavy cutting compound and I would recommend using a lighter compound afterwards before finishing off with a wax/polish of some kind. I had a patch of heavily oxidised paint work, I used this compound, by hand, to knock down the oxidisation before hitting it with a lighter compound and finally finishing off with a hard wax. It worked like a dream, I thought I would have to have the section resprayed, but this rubbing compound cleared the oxidation really well and the patch now looks like new. Now that I know it works well, I have a few deeper scratches I plan to address too. Would highly recommend this product.

This is a fairly fine rubbing compound which is a stronger remedy than say t cut for restoring colour to car paintwork. Beware using too much rubbing action though, as it is very easy to press too hard and end up going through the lacquer top coat on metallic paint finishes.

I needed a more abrasive product than T-Cut but couldn't get my preferred compound (Halfords Rubbing Compound). I wanted to get quite a bit of over-painting rubbed down so I could get a smooth finish on my car's bodywork. Although Turtle Wax 50191 (Red) says it's an aggressive compound it is not as effective as T-Cut basic. I do have the Black T-Cut for car bodywork but that and the T-Cut basic are pretty similar products. My recommendation is that you'd be better off going for T-Cut particularly if you can get it at a lower price than the Turtle product.

Removed paint transfer scratches from the side and mirror of my car. Just follow the instructions on the tin and you're good to go! See the pictures - I have uploaded one while the scrubbing was in progress and one after. Very good alternative for 3M (which I've used before and also works well), only cheaper.

Excellent stuff. I had a mark (thin scrape or corrosive mark) that was 30cm x 1.5cm. this rub took it right down so that it was level and blended with the rest of the paintwork.

Bought this to remove medium depth scratches in the lacquer layer on my alloy wheels. Use this followed by T-Cut to make a good job.

Very easy to use and worked for what I needed but only issue is it was in a damaged tub which can't seal anymore.

Utilizo este producto desde hace mucho tiempo. Uno de los usos es restaurar pinturas envejecidas que se desea restaurar. El micropulimento permite afinar el acabado, eliminar contaminación y preparar la pintura antes de pulirla. Yo últimamente lo utilizo en el proceso de reparación de la carrocería. Tras lijar con lija de grano fino, (1000 o 1500), relleno los arañazos con un pincel y como esté acabado es basto y se notan las pinceladas, el compuesto me permite obtener una reparación perfecta. Finalmente descubrí que el producto es excelente para limpiar placas vitrocerámicas.

i ised it to remove paint dust on my car windsheld, body, windows, it did a great gobe, same as cerium oxide if not better.

Facile à utiliser

Un producto que es multiusos. Tanto puede usarse en autos, como en vidrios de auto o ducha para eliminar la calcarie y marcas de lluvia. Llevo usándolo varios años con los mismos buenos resultados.
