Works well as long as you place a piece of cardboard or plastic sheet over the cloth where the punch will enter.

No, the holes from this particular punch are round. Very good punch though, all the same.

Q: How would one remove discs of leather caught in the punches?

I have not had a problem with discs of leather being caught in the hole punch, but if I did I would use a small nail or panel pin to remove them.

Q: Would this work on biothane? I’m struggling to get through the nylon webbing layer in the middle

Assume this will work with a lot of strength, have used it on thick leather belts and a dog collar, hope this answers your question other thing to try is Timpson the shoe repairer at supermarkets and they cut keys and supply batteries to watches
