I've had around 15 hdd's in 15 years and only ever seen one failure, I've had 4 nvme's in 4 years and already seen 1 failure. The speeds aren't as fast but the longevity and price is way better. You can't run games optimised for the series x/s on anything but this or the internal." as Amazon group all the comments/answers together .... you cannot run X|S enhanced games from an external USB drive, only from the internal SSD or the Seagate 1TB Expansion SSD card. **Q: Can this drive be used for pc?** A: Indeed it can. I paid the extra money simply because the other drive is half the speed ands generally for backup only. This drive works perfectly on my Alienware system for the 'every day' stuff and the fast drives I have are used for everything else, but don't assume from what I said that this drive is horribly slow, it is not! While others here seem top just comment about the PC use for this drive I have successfully used it none stop for transferring stuff that I don't use all the time (pictures, archive video for editing and compiling etc.) and it has not failed in any way. Singular thing I don't like is the wall wart of a power supply that they have. But when you turn off the PC this drive turns off automatically too so it's not really a pain. USB 2 & 3 compatible and I use mine with USB 3 which as most will know adds a far greater transfer rate. Typically I get about 200Mb speeds or thereabouts (it varies on what the drive is loaded with) and the 'free space in Windows 10 is in reality about 7.2 Terabytes of real storage. Highly recommended compared to other similarly priced stuff and some of the WD drives I looked at cost 1/3 more for USB2... this was by far the best choice for me and I don't care whether it says Xbox on the cover or whether it says peanuts :). **Q: Can this be used with xbone and 360 at the same time (not literally of course) I.e. use 1tb for one and the other for 360??** A: No it can only be used with one device. If you plug it into an Xbox one and then the 360 it would format it again and delete all the Xbox one data. **Q: Is the 8tb model actually usb powered, as indicated by amazon's comparison table?** A: The 8tb drive is a mains-powered 3.5" drive with 2x USB ports at the front, all of the other drives are USB-powered 2.5" drives with no additional features.
