Sodium Bicarbonate (Food Grade) 400g

I'm a great believer in natural cleaning products for both home & body. This 400g tub is good value & perfect for my requirements. I like that it's in a tub as I find it easier to store than having bags of powder under my sink! I use bicarbonate of soda in many different ways around my home, here are just some of them:- Bathroom cleaning scrub - 2 parts bicarb, 1 part Epsom salts (or other course salt) & a splash of liquid Castile soap to form a paste. Apply to tiles & grout... Let it sit for about 10 mins then scour off and rinse well. Fabric refresher - 1 tbsp bicarb, water & several drops of essential oils of your choice. Place in spray bottle & spritz fabrics as necessary. Bicarb helps neutralise odours. Remove odour from carpets - sprinkle all over carpet & leave over night then simply vacuum up in the morning. Air freshener - place small jars of bicarb around your house sprinkled with essential oils of your choice. Laundry - when extra deodorising is required add 1/2 cup to the washing machine drum or mix in with your usual powder. There are too many uses for me to list here but I hope the above was helpful.

I use this Sodium Bicarbonate for digestion - simply dissolve 1 small tea spoon in a glass of water, about 1 hour after a meal, and it helps relieve heartburn and indigestion by neutralising stomach acid. It doesn't really have much taste, a bit salty, but doesn't last. This product is very cost-effective as you get 400g of Sodium Bicarbonate which lasts a very long time. The tub is well sealed so you can keep the product in good conditions for long. This is a clean product - contains no gluten, starch, preservatives, sugar, stearate or yeast. NB: Some things to consider: this product contains salt, do not use if you are on a sodium restriction diet. Also, Folic Acid can be inhibited by the use of this product.

For only 400g I found this a bit pricey, but I had been frustrated at trying to buy large volumes of bicarbonate of soda while living in the UK. It's a much more common product in Ireland where I used to live, and usually available in 500g bags for about €1.50 - used for household cleaning, baking, even extinguishing chimney fires. There's not much variation in quality when it comes to bicarbonate of soda, so as expected this did the (many) jobs it was bought for. But the packaging was overkill for such a simple product and I expect that contributes to the higher price. I look forward to bicarb being available much more cheaply in the UK in the future.

amazing quality ,i use it every day ,twice a day : two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar,1/4teaspoon bicarbonate ,some water and drink it.make sure you do this away from meals or on empty stomach.best way to alkalise your body.much cheaper than expensive green superfoods
