I got this outdoor socket for the garden to replace and UV damage/aged plastic sockets and it has been excellent for the price. It feels far better made than some of the cheaper weatherproof sockets I have used before and once installed it gives confidence that it will cope with the British weather without any issues. The casing feels solid and durable with a sturdy lid that closes securely. The clear cover is useful because you can quickly see whether plugs are switched on without opening it every time. The large catches are easy to use even with wet hands or gardening gloves which is a nice touch. Installation was straightforward with clearly marked terminals and enough room inside to work comfortably with wiring. The multiple knockout options also made cable routing easier depending on where the supply cable comes from. Once mounted it sits firmly on the wall and does not feel flimsy or loose. I have used it outside through rain and it has remained completely reliable. The switches have a positive click and the socket cover seals properly around plugs when in use. Cheap compared to some brands but surprisingly well made and feels built to last.

Seems to be a well made and sturdy outdoor socket that seals effectively around the cable. I have not fitted it yet but I do not foresee any problems. The wiring it straight forward, If you have wired a socket in before, then there will be no problem with this one. Just make sure you are wiring it into the correct circuit, if you don't know, get someone who does.

Good sturdy double socket. Easy to follow instructions. Looks smart teamed with black plastic conduit. Doesn’t close fully with the bigger plugs like on a security camera or Christmas lights but if installed under cover outside like a porch it’s fine.

Fast delivery. Just out of the box, NO grommets to seal/hold cables, but they don't call me McGyver for nothing, otherwise it looks well made, no issues on opening or closing. i'll update more photos when I have it fitted, (showers today)
