Gentle enough to use on and around eye area?

Hi! Cetaphil Gentle skin cleanser may be used on (but not in) and around the eyes. It can help to gently remove some light (not waterproof) makeup too. As with all products not specifically intended for in-eye use, you should try to avoid getting the product directly in the eyes, though. Hope this helps. Cetaphil UK customer services.

Can this be used as a substitute to shower gel/soap?

It does not foam like hand wash or shower gel because it is not a detergent but I use it all the time. My hands used to get sore with cracked tips all the time, particularly in the winter but this does not happen now. I first used it for my husband who had dementia and had to be washed in bed; that is when I first used it; his skin was kept in perfect condition.

Is this good for itchy dry face and body

Yes, this product is suitable for daily cleansing of dry skin and very sensitive skin. If your skin itchiness is something new or is bothering you, you may wish to discuss your symptoms with a Health Care Professional.
