Epaderm, Cream, 50 gram

I bought Epaderm Cream to use alongside the Epaderm Ointment after my hands became dry, irritated, itchy and sore, with small bumps starting to appear. I still don’t know whether it’s caused by frequent hand washing, skincare ingredients, or an underlying skin condition, but this cream has really been helpful. I use it as a soap substitute and then reapply it as a hand cream throughout the day. The texture is much lighter than the ointment, and after rubbing it in for a minute or so, it absorbs well and helps restore moisture. Since using it, my hands have been less irritated and sore. I also like the practical packaging - the pump makes it easy to use, and the size is ideal for keeping in a handbag without running out too quickly. Used together with the ointment, it’s become a great day and night routine for keeping my hands comfortable and hydrated.

I’ve been using Epaderm Cream for dry and sensitive skin and I’m really happy with it. It’s gentle, moisturising and leaves the skin feeling soft without being too greasy. A little goes a long way, and the 50g size is convenient to keep in a bag. Would definitely recommend for dry or sensitive skin.

Epaderm Cream isn’t your average moisturiser—this is a dermatologist-developed emollient designed to soothe, protect, and maintain skin that’s prone to dryness, eczema, irritation or barrier breakdown. While it’s commonly used for general hydration, it’s surprisingly effective in more specific and stubborn conditions—including one I suffer from every summer: tiny, itchy, blister-like "bubbles" that crop up on the sides of my fingers or palms during hot, humid spells. If you’ve ever had these, you’ll know how annoying they are. These are often a form of dyshidrotic eczema (also called pompholyx)—little vesicles that feel prickly, sometimes itchy, and worsen with sweating, water exposure, or stress. In my experience, applying Epaderm several times a day—especially after washing hands or using sanitiser—helps stop the blisters from progressing into cracks or weeping patches. It also reduces that burning-stretchy feeling skin gets when it's inflamed and dry at the same time. Used overnight under cotton gloves, the results can be even better by morning. Unlike heavier ointments (such as its sibling product Epaderm Ointment), the cream sinks in without making your hands greasy or sticky, making it more practical for daytime use—at work, on commutes, even just sat at the desk. It doesn’t sting, doesn’t clog, and doesn’t add any fragrance to already irritated areas. Keep a tube in your bathroom, bag, car, or nightstand—wherever you may need a fast-acting, non-greasy defence against dry, tight, itchy or flaking skin. I’ve just ordered a second to keep in my glovebox—because if you’ve ever stood in a queue trying not to scratch the back of your hand off in the heat, you’ll know the value of quick, cooling relief. In short: Epaderm Cream is more than a moisturiser. It’s a skin barrier repairer, heat rash preventer, eczema soother, and blister blocker. Especially during warm months, for anyone with dyshidrosis, contact dermatitis, or dry, reactive skin—it’s worth its weight in calm.

Perfect little tube for travelling — a small amount goes a long way. The cream is quite thick and leaves a bit of a shine on the face, but it’s extremely effective for calming any redness or dry patches. Works quickly and keeps skin hydrated for hours. A reliable skincare essential to keep in your bag.

This cream has honestly changed my life!! The skin underneath my eyes have been incredibly sensitive and I've been unable to find the cause. After elimination of almost every product that I use on my skin, make up and even earings, I felt really down and horrible about myself. The only thing that seemed to give any relief from the pain and dryness of my skin issue was vaseline, but even then I had to apply it regularly and it didn't seem to improve anything. A friend gave me some Epaderm to try and almost instantly it felt like it was soothing and helping my skin. I applied it four times each day initially and the difference it made has been incredible! My skin is almost back to normal now after around 1 week of use. I can now wear make up again without flare ups and my skin looks great. I use this daily now, once on a morning and once on a night. I'm so grateful for it and a little goes a long way. You only need a small amount. It's wonderful stuff!!

This stuff is my skin's saviour! After having a reaction to some new fabric softener, my skin wouldn't settle down so I bought some of this in an attempt to calm it. It worked so quickly. I used it as moisturiser for a few days, which made my skin so much more comfortable instantly. I didn't want to continue using like that for long because it did leave me feeling a bit greasy and I wasn't sure it would wash out of clothing and bedding properly. Instead, I started using it in the shower. I tend to have a quick wash with my normal shower gel, put shampoo in my hair, turn off the water, smother myself with Epaderm, shave my legs and then turn the water back on and rinse everything off. Just that minute or two is enough to leave my skin feeling amazing. In fact, I'm wondering if this is what normal skin feels like - have I been missing out on this all my life? Even my elbows are soft and silky! For me, the down sides are that it can feel greasy (and the bottle warns that things it touches may be flammable) and the scent is quite 'medical' - sort of like when you open a first aid kit. It's not a strong scent so if you are able to wear perfume, or scented shampoo etc, people other than you are unlikely to smell it. Using it in the shower like I do, the smell is barely there and I'm actually starting to like it. The positive - skin that feels amazing and isn't trying to fall off my body - is a million times stronger than the negatives.

Nice cream seems to work better than most. Not sticky. No real scent to it.

The best cream!! I randomly got eczema all around my eyes and on my neck, it was so sore, tried creams from my GP, diet changes etc, but nothing helped, bought this not having particularly high expectations but it’s been amazing! After 3 weeks of using it, my eczema is 99% gone, my skin isn’t itchy or red at all any more, it’s healed cuts at the side of my mouth and behind my ears and my acne has also cleared up!! It seems super thick when it comes out, but once it’s dry I can even put makeup over the top of it and it still sits well. So thankful for this cream!

Soothed an area that frequently becomes itchy and dry

As a psoriasis suffererer, there is nothing to differentiate it from other emollient products. I wouldn't bother buying it again. Maybe OK as a travel sized item,

Significantly reduced the itchiness caused by dryness and in turn, my thickened skin with dark spots had been softened and starts to lighten. Highly recommended!
