Excellent , my grandson loves his

I first came across this item at a preschool/school meeting - staff brought in various items they have in their particular setting that would be relevant to physical literacy. I saw this latches board, and (pardon the pun) I was hooked! Not only is it great for little fingers to develop hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills, but it enhances the imagination. I ordered one for my setting, and also one for my home for my children and grandchildren to enjoy. It is used daily by many children, and stands the test of time - not to mention abuse! What a brilliant, colourful, hands-on puzzle. You (and your children, if they get a look in) won't be disappointed!

Bought as a Christmas present for my 13 month old after he played with one at a toddler group and it was the most played with present on the day. He LOVES opening and closing the doors which I have unlocked, and shouting "gone!". In the future I'm sure he can start to figure out the locks for himself. The numbers, colours, buildings, and animals will be a language prompt in the future too. My 7 year old also enjoyed figuring out how it worked. Don't be put off by the age 3+ recommendation. This is for "elf and safety" reasons. This toy contains small parts which in the unlikely event that it comes apart could cause a choking hazard, along with obvious hazards like if it gets trodden on by small bare feet. Definitely a toy to play WITH an adult, but aimed more at the under 3s than over. This is an occasional toy so the younger you buy it the more value it will be.

I thought I had made a mistake buying this for my 2 year old granddaughter because it is heavy and the clips on the puzzle are made of heavy brass. I thought she might injure herself. However, I decided to keep it at our house so that we can supervise her playing with it. So far she hasn’t hurt herself at all, and four months later is still trying to work out how to fasten and unfasten the most difficult fastenings. It’s been great for helping to teach her colours, numbers and the names of animals. The bolts etc help to develop hand-eye coordination and strength. She still enjoys it and hasn’t got bored. We make sure we’re with her while she’s playing with it.

Bought as a gift but will definitely be purchasing for my own child too.

I was concerned by the other reviews about the quality issues but decided to buy it anyway and was glad I did. The jigsaw is well made with no rough edges and all the doors and locks work perfectly. I bought this for a one year old who constantly goes to it and can open all of the doors independently. Good for fine motor control of the locks and the different ways to open the doors, only slight disappointment is that 2 of the pictures, behind the doors, are of characters, fish and rabbits, that don’t make a noise. As she’s learning to make her animal noises we get a bit stuck particularly with the fish. Would recommend this jigsaw and feel it was good value for money.

Good quality kids enjoyed playing with it

It comes with minimal packaging which I actually prefer instead of having to open box after box. I got it for my daughter and she's been playing with it since she was 1. She absolutely loves it, just takes it out herself and keeps her busy for a good hour. Amazing how entertaining it can be for a toddler. Such good quality as well, still good as new and so sturdy. Highly recommend for fine motor skills

this item arrived on time and in good condition, the box was dented however the contents were not. My husband is an Alzheimer's patient and this is his favorite puzzle, great for hand eye coordination and each time he opens a "door" he is surprised. The puzzle is fairly heavy due to the latches but that is to be expected.

My son is only 17 months but hes been fascinated by locks and mechanical things since he could stand up. This was one of the biggest hits for xmas as he plays with it everyday. He is so focused its great to keep him occupied while we are out as well. :)
