Insanely low jitter and latency
Getting <1ms jitter and <10ms latency over wifi is absolutely nuts. The signal doesn't go through walls particularly well, even at 2.4g, but I think that's the walls in our house rather than this hardware. Not a huge fan of the configuration app or the form factor because I am not a teenage boy, but I don't need to look at either now they're set up and hidden away.

Great Piece of kit!
I have upgrade to this mesh system from my GS AX5400 and GS AX3000. Honestly it was really worth it. The WiFi speed has increase and use a full potential of my broadband. Apart speed the stability is amazing. Definitely will recommended.

Faulty chipset
I enjoy Asus products have been using them for a while. I needed a range extender also comes with AI protection for free. The problem with this router is the faulty chip I was sent with this unit. It's very temperamental on being stable, I have played with the setting to make it how I need the setting to be. It is constantly flashing blue even though I can see it connected and its receiving and sending data. Its far from being stable, also there is intermit disconnects when you think you have solved the problem. I tried to add this unit to a mesh network I already had. I had to factory reset the whole network to add this after trying several times to just add it to the network. The wired ethernet works fine but I required wireless for my purpose. I have spent several hours intial trying to connect it and make it work without needing to factory reset the network. I have additional spent another severals trying to make it stable, is worth my time no. After resetting the network and adding this I have had several intermitt issues of disconnects and being unstable. My conclusion for this unit I'm sure I received a faulty unit. I have updated the firmware and still no improvement. The ET12Pro work like a dream, no problems unless updating them. I will be returning this faulty unit and getting a far cheaper one. When I did get a connection to make to stable for a few minutes, the speed tests VS the money I spent not worth it. The extra 60mbps not worth it. The Wifi attached already gave 350mbps. Even though I do like Asus this problem maybe be a one off. I wouldn't recommend this product for all the problems I received.

I could not make it work as an AiMesh node for my ASUS RT-AXE7800 Tri-band WiFi 6E router
I bought the ASUS ROG Rapture GT6 Tri-Band WiFi 6 as an AiMesh node to boost the WiFi signal of my ASUS RT-AXE7800 Tri-band WiFi 6E router. The router is in the first floor, where the modem is, and the signal downstairs is fairly weak. Connecting the router (ASUS RT-AXE7800) to the node (ASUS ROG Rapture GT6) following the ASUS video instructions was straightforward, although it took a few failed attempts. Unfortunately there were a few issues with the node: - The ASUS ROG Rapture GT6 Tri-Band WiFi 6 name and box seem to suggest that it is WiFi 6. However, according to the WebGUI only showed WiFi 2.4, WiFi 5-1 and WiFi 5-2 but not WiFi 6. - Although the AiMesh system is supposed to create a network with the same name throughout, the node displayed different network names to the router network. I could not seem to change that in the settings. - None of my devices in the ground floor (smart TV, iPad, Android mobile phones) could see the node. They were still seeing the router network (fairly weak). No improvement over the router on its own. The ASUS ROG Rapture GT6 Tri-Band WiFi 6 may well be an excellent router but, unfortunately, it did not work for my intended use (or I was unable to make it work). Hence the 3-star rating and returning the equipment to Amazon - the return process works very well, credit to Amazon.

Asus what happened? Failed after 3 months.
So these started out amazing, they installed easily with the app - they connected to each other well and the speeds were 'okay' - several hours of tinkering later, the speeds improved but it wasnt mind blowing. We have a 1gig connection, with virgin media - which using their router gives us 1000/1300 down and 100 up. With these, we saw 900-1100 with close range wifi and 1200 using the Wifi ethernet backhaul. The issues with MESH, relate (for me) to bad game streaming, they seem to stutter an awful lot. I would see a lot of connection drop outs on high connectivity ranges (less than 54d) within the app - so signal wasnt the issue. The final straw for me having to return after only 3 months, was that after an update, all of the LAN ports on the base hub stopped working. I tried everything across a week chatting with ASUS. Nothing worked. Product returned and back to Virgin's Hub 5 - which has actually held its own, we have no longer decided to go aftermarker router. I cannot reccomend these at all, with the limited life they had with us (3 months) they constantly had issues, relating to speed, connection and drop outs.

Avoid this product! a lot of bug and issues! Returned since it is non-useful for gamers at all
Don't buy it if you plan to use AiMesh. These routers ruined my life with tons of issues. I really can't use them, a lot of random drops and spikes, Ethernet compatibility issues with both modem and other devices. Firmware has a lot of bugs, the system is totally unstable.

Quirky setup, no backhaul
Definitely not anywhere nearly as powerful as advertised. Doesn’t utilise Ethernet backhaul at all. Signal is much weaker than it would have you believe.

Amazing from every aspect
I had a Wifi 7 router provided by my ISP, but had nothing but trouble with it - constant internet drops and connectivity issues with different devices and overall instability. I looked into getting another Wifi 6 router, but it seems most of them have unstable firmware, which results in all of the above mentioned problems. This is why I decided to go a but older in order to have a reliable connection. Since both I and my Mrs work from home, this is imperative and was willing to sacrifice some speed. However, what I can say is that this little router is amazing. In fact it is so good, I got 2 more after I bought my first one and now have 3 configured in 1x router 2x AP config with one on each floor of the house. No more connectivity issues, all devices are connected, stay connected and have internet as well. The internet speed has also improved substantially. I have 1Gbps going into the router and most devices connected via wifi manage to get north of 850Mbps consistently regardless of location, which is amazing. Before, with my old Wifi 7 router and AP, the speeds were very inconsistent ranging from 900Mbps down to 400Mbps. Other great feature of this router is fallback capability to either 4/5G or a completely separate internet uplink. Again, amazing if staying connected to the internet is of utmost importance. It also has some truly amazing connection monitoring tools allowing you to see pages visited and packages that have been sent to any of the clients attached. Looks are subjective, I for one like the fact that the antennas are hidden. It is one less thing to worry about when a pet or kids accidentally knock it down. The ROG logo lights can be controlled and dimmed down in order to make it stealthy. I like the lights as it doubles as a night light illuminating the hallways in my house when it is dark just enough so that the kids don't bump into walls or trip over something. Can only recommend!
