Super creepy and refreshing new take on horror love it.

Mia Goth delivers the most amazing acting job I've seen in past decade or more. I've never in my life seen an actor give a more believable performance of intense emotion. She literally produces real tears several times in close-up long takes, no fake tears, I mean real blood shot watery eyes and nose in real time. I watching this and saying to myself that she's truly crying. Away from crying she has ability to scare the crap out of the viewer with a quick change in subtle facial expressions; again in real time with no camera cuts. As for negatives in movie, I thought the color was over the top in some outdoor scenes especially, but this was done intentionally by the director and cinematographer for better or worse. I thought some of the gruesome scenes were also over the top and would have been better if more was left to viewers' imagination. But all in all I highly recommend Pearl and I will definitely be rewatching this in years to come.

Just to name a few, there's Norman Bates, Hannibal Lector, The Creeper and now.....Pearl. Holee cow, she is formidable. Mia Goth is an incredible actress. Someone to follow, for sure. Ti West the director too.

This is a really great horror film..i first watched it on prime and right after that i bought the dvd . Ive watched 2 times now and its still fun to watch.Mia Goth is fantastic.

This character is nuts. Like the movie.

The two stars of this Horror film is the director and actress Mia Goth playing a different character from the original movie X. What ties PEARL to X is Mia Goth and the country house with the lake and crocodile. This new movie is a deeply disturbing Horror character study as Mia Goth descents into spiralling madness and horrific violence. Extreme dread of Horror that’s shot like a film from the Golden Age of Hollywood which heightened the Horror. Extremely violent and disturbing. Can’t wait to see the concluding third film in the trilogy by this director as Mia Goth takes on Hollywood. Not for the faint of heart. Couldn’t stop thinking about this film.
