Perfect for this dyslexic person to read and use
Honestly I wanted the larger non-travel version of this clock but the same manufacturer that also completely runs on batteries but it did not have ht option of the green numbers which are easier for me to read at night. Like most people with dyslexia I have the hypersensitivity to electronic text where we are hypersensitive to the refresh rate of electronic media and it aggravates the dyslexic issues. The higher the contrast the harder it is to read for us, and when you use something like a feature that illuminates at night or a dark area it is so much more difficult when fully awake, and sleepy is almost impossible (and at time has made me physically ill). Once I got my first indiglow digital watch, which at the time only military members could get and my father bought for me at the PX) I discovered on my own that green illumination or text colors is the least disruptive and easiest for me to see. I know red is better for night vision, but green is easier for dyslexic people to read under the same conditions. So this smaller alarm clock was the only real option as I need a fully battery operated alarm clock as only fully battery alarm clock will go off when there is a power interruption, and are portable for travel which I love on the occasional times I can take time off work to volunteer and since I am no rich I camp and a campground a week to two to do. Modern alarm clocks battery only maintains the settings so you do not have to reset after power comes back on, and that is in a good excuse for your boss that you missed to were late for work. I am like most people not in management now, i have a completely variable schedule week to week so I might be on a closing shift one night and then morning or opening two days later (or even the next day as business only is required to give you 8hrs between shifts) so I do not go to sleep or get up two days in a row. I also like most workers am lucky to have 2 days off in a row every month or two so clocks that have a "weekend" function which cannot be turned off are worthless to me and all the rechargeable clocks with alarms I could find had that except for one which review tell of problems of keeping it disarmed. It is a fire-able offense to be late more than twice in 90 days in my "right to work state" which everyone calls right to fire if you are not a manager. SO please bear that in mind next time you are rude or yell at a retail associate that almost everything is out of their control and your yelling at someone can get them fired when it is corporate fault not theirs. Things that might get you a reprimand even 10years now are fireable offenses, with or without a dock to your pay. So I really needed a reliable alarm clock and being able to swap out batteries in seconds was high on my priority list along with green are at least not black or white text in a high contrast background most of the time much less when using a feature to illuminate at night. I have been using the clock a couple of days and so far I love it. Setup was so intuitive that only one feature required met to refer to the directions. I had to find out how to dim the clock to decrease the illumination and reduce the contrast for my dyslexia. I was first setting my clock at night and after 8pm to 6am the clock automatically decreases the illumination because one you don't need it and two it saves battery power as it is harder to read digital displays in full sunlight so you need a stronger illumination during daylight hours. So after 8pm there are only 3 brightness setting not the usual 3. The buttons are easy light presses which is good as this is aimed at traveling buttons are small. Only the snooze and F/C temp change button is full size but they only require feather light touches to use. Luckily my cats playing with those specific buttons will not disrupt my normal usage of the clock. I love that flipping the clock over shows the temperature and it appears to be pretty accurate as it agreed with m atomic clock as well and my barometer weather station that monitors a couple of outdoor sensors as well as indoors. Temp features are invaluable when traveling or camping and having a battery, non wall outlet reliant temperature gauge is invaluable in m rural area where the TV stations that own the local licenses are over 90 miles away and 2500+ lower in elevation so they rarely keep track of my weather. There was a learning curve using the buttons as I have had the same alarm clock for over 10 years and I got used to slider buttons no the tap ones this clock has, but this one has a battery monitor when the other just had a seizure with the display blinking on an off at the night illumination and all the alarms going off a once until you took out the batteries as the only signal that the batteries needed to be replaced because they are low. That alarm clock i many colors under $15 is still popular here though now i doesn't tell the day of the week anymore. This clock I half the size so I pray I or m cats never knock it behind my bed or I will have to take the bed apart to retrieve it buy that also means it take up less than half the space when it is packed for travel. I am a light sleeper with intermittent insomnia and now that I live in a rural area (and not within a mile of a freeway in a agricultural area near a metro area in California) I am a much lighter sleeper so stringent alarms are unneeded and cause my to wake up in a panic and adrenaline rush to flight or flee and not a nice clam way to wake up. The alarm is more than sufficient to wake you up and not wake up all you neighbors humans or animals and wildlife outside. The tone is not natural background noises even of electronics so it should suffice to wake you up even though it is not a blisteringly loud it continues some time before it auto shuts off and then starts again (if I understand the directions) like the snooze function was activated. I like the compact look as I again now have room to put the book I read before bed or my tv remote on my bedside table instead of under my pillow as it surprising how even a couple of inches gained makes a huge difference to organization and storage of other objects. So far it only is missing one feature i prefer to have the day of the week in my clock as well, but to find a green screen font and battery operated was sufficient to try this clock. If the larger clock by this manufacturer that has the the features I would prefer but no green display...but I am very happy with this clock even if i am not comfortable with the small top press buttons instead of the back slider one I got used to with my last alarm clock. The small size and clever functionality like turning the clock switched between clock and temp readings show the good design of this clock making it worth the price. If the larger version of this model can in green display font display I would by it in addition to this clock because i already like this small put powerful clock so much already. The larger models that at battery operated either do not have the green display or do not have the temperature function. I always update my reviews if something changes for good or bad.

It Works Under TV
I have not had this long, but so far so good. I looked for many hours before I found one this small that fits under the tv to replace the time on cable box that I no longer have. It’s perfect and slides right under it. Keeps great time, and was easy to set. The only thing I would change is a black background with white digits for time.

Nice little clock.
Got it for camping. Cool to know temp inside the tent. Use the time side while sleeping, can easily see the time in the middle of the night without putting on glasses.

Two battery version review
What I like: + Reasonably small and compact. + Keeps excellent time. + Only two AA batteries. + Three brightness levels. + Flip it upside down for instant temperature. + Large enough display to see across two rooms. + Easy enough to operate. + Blinking low battery indicator. Puts it on low light level and turns off the thermometer. + Wakes me up easy enough. + Not too expensive. What I don't like: - The bottom of the backside is curved which makes it way too easy to tip over on its backside. If the rear edges were square like the front, there would be no issue. - On a sunny day with the blinds open, it can be difficult to read the display. - It is impossible to read in direct sunlight. I bought this for a quick glance clock that I keep near my TV. Overall, I'm happy enough with it. If it wasn't prone to tipping over, I might have given it five stars. Actually, my bedside alarm is a Marathon NightOwl atomic clock. I like that one!

electric clock, battery clock
We have not had this clock long enough (2 weeks) to comment on battery life or durability, but the directions (user manual) were easy to follow. All the functions operate correctly, including time, temperature in Fahrenheit or Centigrade, wake up alarm and control of brightness of the numerical display. It would help to have the brightness display slightly brighter, but not essential for most rooms. We have now bought four of these. Hopefully the LED will remain visible for at last a full year.. We have the .9" size number display, though a 1.4" display was advertised as available. UPDATE: We distribute throughout the house for easy, quick glance of time. Now, in July 2023, one of these 4 has temp failed to function, probably b/c it was too near kitchen stove. The battery indicator gives advance notice of the 2 AA battery replacements. Huge advantage, we have accurate time when electricity goes out during a storm The original ones have now lasted 5 years, so they are well manufactured. Have bought several for gifts to family & friends. Cannot buy these in stores, anywhere near this price.

Perfect! Low EMF, Survival, Blackouts, Not Sleep Disrupting!
I control Electrical Hypersensitivity using all kinds of tricks and gadgets, and this was perfect for at night when I turn off about half of my electrical fuses. I have a tenant and my mom living here, so they aren't quite "with the program" or it would all be off every night! Anyway, this comes in really handy and I don't have to re-set it every morning like with the electrical ones. Plus I can easily see it from across the room where I have it at the bottom of my tv screen (which I only use for FireStick and Internet, and leave off as much as possible). Last, but not least, the temperature function has come in as a bonus I hadn't anticipated as being so useful. It is good to be able to easily and quickly check to see if I need to turn the thermostat back on or can just leave the windows open! And the clock is so small and light that I can move it from room to room or carry it on a trip. Price very reasonable. Go ahead and buy at least one. I got an extra for my mom! Yes, that good!

Useless all the way around
Our new cable box doesn't have a clock so I've been looking for a small clock to put on our TV stand. Between all of the other devices, I'm out of outlets so I've been looking for a small, battery operated, digital clock. I never imagined that would be difficult to find! I've now spent upwards of $100 on clocks on Amazon, all of which have been unusable for various reasons - weren't really battery operated, display only lit up when the snooze was pressed, etc. The listing on this clock met all of my criteria but when it arrived, I realized it would not work for us. The first thing I noticed is that the display is very dim. I opened it during the day with a fair amount of natural light in my house. The red background was almost as bright as the digital read out numbers. After reading the directions, I saw a way to adjust the brightness but at its highest settings, it's still not bright enough for us to see comfortably from the couch. I took it into a darker room (ok, really it was the closet with the door closed) and it worked better but, we need to be able to read the clock during the day. The temperature feature is kind of cool (if you physically turn the clock upside down, it shows the current temp!) but since the clock is not within arms reach, that's kind of useless, too.

I love the portability!
I originally bought this for next to the bed because I don't have an outlet for a plug-in. I also really wanted to know the temperature at night. The fact that I can just turn it over to check the temp and then turn it back to put it on the clock is fantastic! I later realized I can take this with us when we travel. It's great for having a good, easy to read clock and be able to check the temp in both Fahrenheit and Celsius wherever we go. I only gave 4 stars on accuracy because it seems to be off by just 1 or 2 degrees. I set my house thermostat at 75 at night and it usually says it's 72 or 73, even right before the air kicks back on.

Lovely clock, does exactly what it is supposed to do. Easy to operate and set the alarm. Good display both night and day!
Love this clock! Very easy to set or change the alarm set time. Clear and visible both day and night. Does exactly what I want it to do, tells me the time, wakes me up if I set the alarm and thats all I need it to do. One nice extra little feature should you need it is if you turn it upside down then it displays the temperature instead of the time. Nice size and very handy as a travel alarm clock. Really pleased with it. Would recommend the product and the seller

SIMPLE, QUALITY, PERFECT TIME/ALARM/TEMP DEVICE
This KWAWAN clock is exactly as pictured and described. It provides the main functions of time, temp and alarm in a small, simple, accurate, quality, and attractive LED device. The low price is amazing and well worth for all its offerings. Likes: the 4.5 x 1.75 inch tiny size, white color, large readable time and temp, dimmer, simple flat button alarm settings on top, and the battery power for table top setup anywhere. No loss of time in 40 days. The flippable temp reading in C or F is very handy when required. The alarm is a spaced pleasant beep, loud enough to be heard, and not jarring at all. Only used on the bathroom counter without taking up space or falling over, to time showers, colors, creams, night visits, appointments etc., in a timely manner. Everything perfect. Dislikes: none. Do wish the front facing around the display was also white and not black, as well as the display red to be black or blue. But not a problem as is. Do wish the rear had a small hole in the back of casing for hanging on a wall clip, which I thought the description, said it had. But seems does not and a 3M self-stick Velcro should work. One of the best found purposed simple clock/alarm items purchased on Amazon for such a reasonable price… to stay. Recommended. May purchase the black color. Perfect.

Good alarmclock
Does the job admirable, not difficult to set up if you relax a bit a first before pressing the buttons calmly in order. Great sixe, great visibility. The only complaint is that the door to the battery compartment slides off. Easily fixed with some tape. Poundering a second one.
