THANK YOU! Quick service and Great Packaging
The media could not be loaded. Thank you! Fast shipping, great packaging. These were packed in an air vented box with double egg crates. We hadn't had luck getting crickets at the local pet stores for almost a month. I decided to try online even though we had a terrible experience the last time (not this seller).I was so surprised, I received this within 3 days! Yes, there were some dead crickets, but the number was small. Out of 500 crickets, if I had to guess I'd say 20 were dead. Less than 5% died.My son has two bearded dragons, a scorpion and a pink toe tarantula and they all eat crickets. So, my son is super happy to get these for his buddies.

BEST BEST BEST
I had an issue with a spider before which is why I stopped using Bassets for few months. I do not like spiders...anyway...after trying around other vendors I finally circled back here and want to say that I'm speachless.1. Order got here unless then 48 hours from the time I placed the order ( WOW!!)2. There was not even one dead cricket in the package (WOW!!!)3. The crickets were a prefect size, above purchased amount, livelly and nice and SUPER PLUMPY (WOW!!!!)4. IM SO IMPRESSED. THEY HAVE REALLY STEPPED UP THEIR GAME !! TRY THEM, OR TRY THEM AGAIN IF YOU TOOK A BREAK FOR A MINUTE. CHANGE IS UNBEATABLE. BEST CRICKETS I HABE EVER ORDERED TO DATE

Healthy crickets, bigger than 1/2” though
The crickets arrived without any dead ones as far as I could tell. They have been transferred to a screened tank as the box they shipped in is too small to leave them in for any extended amount of time. The shipping box makes a good ‘house’ for them to hide or sleep in if you open the flap door and even the box flaps once they are in a larger container. Be prepared to feed them because you will have them awhile. They will eat finely diced fruit, vegetables and even meat (haven’t tried dog food yet.) I even set them up with live plants and landscape similar to what’s in my reptile tank, which they seem to like. My blue bellies loved them and are fattening up on them. The one issue I have with them is the size. Only a few have been the 1/2” size that I wanted. Most have been 3/4” to 1” with some even bigger than that! I’ve released the larger ones into my backyard because my lizards won’t eat them. The actual size should be more consistent or more accurate, especially for those of us ordering for smaller reptiles. I do recommend ordering from this breeder though because they shipped quickly, the crickets are healthy, and it’s a great value compared to buying them at a pet store

All alive, and stay living if cared for
These came a bit faster than expected, so that was nice. All living, or at least 99%... I didn't see packaging as my husband unpacked them before I got home, but I'm happy. Much better deal than the pet store, and lasted a whole month before they all got eaten by my beardie. Here's an update after ordering multiple times: sometimes they are almost all alive. Sometimes they show up with most dead. Which I'm sure is not their fault. But I will tell you, there customer service is great IF YOU CALL. Amazon messages about dead crickets don't seem to go anywhere, but if you CALL, they are great and friendly and will replace them for you. I've ordered through all the companies around this price point, and because of this, Bassett will be my go to. They also have the best price. I just avoid ordering in extreme weather, I live in the Midwest, so don't bother ordering when it's freezing outside, or like 100 degrees, because of course they can't stay alive in a box for a couple days

I apparently paid for dead crickets. Absolutely disgusted.
EDIT: They refunded my order without Question. So, I'll give them 3 stars for atleast being prompt with Customer service and Handling the situationOriginal Review:Yea. Not happy. They sat on my porch in 60 degree weather for ONE HOUR before I brought them in. And all of them were dead. So, they were dead long before they reached my door step. These were cheaper but I'm not rich and can't reorder. 24 hours later, and still no response from the seller.I'll probably go back to Josh's Frogs for my crickets. Only 2 out of 500 of those died before arriving at my doorstep and ALL 500 of these were dead.if things change, I'll update but otherwise, I'm not the only one that received dead crickets. No heating packet, nothing.

Happy, healthy, good quality, live crickets!!
Ordered and received hundreds of beautiful, lively and healthy crickets direct from Bassett’s that are superior in quality to all other vendors. These crickets were not insanely ravenous or dehydrated as ones I’ve bought from others. Bassett’s probably gut loaded really well before shipping— timing and weather might also be a factor to such happy buggers. It took 2-3days to get to me on mostly 70-80F days and the Post Office did what they are supposed to do by delivering to the door instead of stuffing the package in the community hotbox, which is a critter death chamber. As a result, almost everyone arrived alive. Very very happy chicken keeper!!

The only thing alive were spiders and a few beetles
It took quite awhile for this order to arrive and upon opening the first flap of the box dead Crickets flew everywhere. I moved to the sunroom to avoid any others from escaping only to find all Crickets were dead and the only thing alive were spiders and a few beetles. The Crickets were placed in a box with egg crates no additional seal to prevent escape.
