When I first saw that this bookshelf was plastic, my first concern was how much it could hold and how flimsy it may be. But, I needed something to go on a rolling cart and the size was perfect, so I gave it a shot.Well, I was wrong! It is an EXCELLENT bookshelf! It arrived SUPER quick, and was mostly easy to put together - took less than 5 minutes. Hardest part was deciding what configuration to use! The only reason I say "mostly easy" for putting it together though is that you can see from my pictures, that there are small gaps between the shelves. The instructions didn't show any gaps so I'm not sure if I didn't apply enough force to push them together or what. It doesn't affect the structure of the shelf and I like the way it looks. And the plastic is a LOT sturdier/more rigid than you may think!I hope, that in the future, they may offer different colors than only white. Either way, I love it and am going to be getting a 2nd one!

I really wish this worked out better! I really needed something to go in my bathroom. I don’t think this will even work now that the top shelf broke while I was putting it together. The instructions are pretty difficult to follow because the couple picture that are on them don’t even look like what your putting together and there are no words describing what you are seeing. In the end this broke before I could even use this. I would give it 1 star but if you can manage to put it together without breaking it it could be a decent shelf. Really disappointed.

Maybe I had high expectations for it but it isn't what I was expecting.It feels like cheap plastic and doesn't look that great. It's a bit of an eyesore sitting next to my desk.It's sturdy enough. It's very easy to assemble. It's lightweight. It holds my books. It's modular so if you wanted you could build this out to be quite a shelving system but at what cost? You can make it as big and grandiose as you'd like but it will never look very good.Overall, I am not very impressed with it. It does do what it should so I can't knock it too much. I'll continue to use it as my bedside bookshelf and if anything relevant happens, I'll come back to update my review.

If this is just another place to put stuff in a kid’s room or in the garage, it will certainly do the trick but its kind of small and ugly for anything else.Pros:- Light weight- VERY easy to assemble- Plastic fasteners lock tightly in placeCons:- Looks really cheap- Not very big- Because it is meant to be modular there is no ‘finished’ top piece, so it will always look half-built.I actually left the top piece off because it looked worse than just leaving an open shelf.Overall the YekouMax Bookshelf is certainly serviceable but with this small unit costing nearly $37.99 as of this review, there are better storage options out there for the price. The second picture in the official product photos shows a woman sitting at a structure that would take 7 of these units to build - that’s almost $270.

I have this under my desk to clear some of the clutter that was on top. It's really sturdy and strong it will pretty much hold anything you'd put in there. The set up was incredibly simple with no tools. It's also modular so you can really set it up however you'd like for your needs. If you need the bottom or the top space larger than you can just skip putting in a flat board and just keep building your way up. You can customize it to fit your needs. I think it's definitely worth the value! It looks great and it fits under a desk in case you want to clear up the mess that's usually on top. Recommend!
