Cured my dry eye, corneal abrasion, and corneal cracking in 1 night
I had severe dry eye. I would wake up in excruciating pain in the mornings, often partially or fully blind in one eye, where my cornea had abraded or cracked. It would take most of the day for the cornea to heal up enough so I could see anything other than a field of milky white. Thankfully, the cornea is the fastest healing organ in the human body (or so I've heard), meaning I could generally get back to work by mid-afternoon.So, one day, I thought about my symptoms: my eyes were ALWAYS worse in the morning, and the pain was most extreme where my lower lid met my eyeball. So...maybe I wasn't closing my eyes fully at night? I tried these and the next day, I woke up pain free and able to see the world. It was a minor miracle. Basically, the foam pad inserts press just enough against the eyelids to keep them in place, and then the foam outer rings press enough on the region near your eyelashes to stimulate some oil production. It's been several months now, and these still work like a charm. I have since gotten off of about 4 different kinds of eyedrops and even missed this year's Lipiflow appointment. Our retirement plans to the state of New Mexico (with a severe dry climate) are back on the table again. This product won't solve everyone's dry eye problem, but it solved mine. I just pray this company doesn't go out of business. I bought an extra pair of Tranqileyes just in case. Maybe I need an extra 10 pairs.

Great for Corneal Erosion
Last year, I developed Corneal Erosion. If you have it, you know how terrifying it is to wake up in the morning and brace yourself to open your eyes. Up until this purchase, I had been using Muro 128 and a plain ole' sleeping mask. The Muro 128 certainly helped, but the mask would slip off in the night and it just didn't fit my face. My husband likes the fan on at night (which has the potential for disaster for RCE) and the breeze would slip under the sleeping mask.I got fed up with the sleep mask and wanted to try something better. My options? A better sleeping mask that hopefully fit better or some sleep goggles. I went with the goggles because it's easier to clean them than a mask (the Muro 128 leaks out of my eyes sometimes and gets things gunky).I've been using these for about a month. I put run hot water on the pads before bedtime and my eyes stay shut through the night with the light pressure. In combo with the Muro 128, I've woken up without scratching my cornea off, which is nice. Blissfully nice.4 stars because the strap will sometimes loosen in the night and I wish the eye pieces were a little bit bigger. I just make sure to tighten the strap as much as I can deal with it. As for the small eye pieces? Yeah, there's a space in the corner of my outer eye where air can get in, but the inside foam pads keep my eyes shut, so it isn't a big problem. It's too bad the nose bridge isn't adjustable or has size options. In all, I much prefer these than a sleep mask. Keeps my eyes closed and wet, which keeps the cornea intact.

Prevents corneal abrasion !
I never thought I could wear anything like this because I could not even tolerate a plain Jersey sleeping mask. For the past year I've been suffering from recurrent corneal abrasions that somehow occur overnight. All the drops in the world have not worked and I could not tolerate taping my eyes shut. Even a powerful humidifier by the bed did not work. I tried these and almost sent them back when I saw how big they were but after one week I am sold. I took the foam padding out because it pressed on my eyes too hard but I can put them back in if I need to use warm or cold treatment. I think I slept better than I have in a year because I did not have to worry about waking up with the intense pain and blur of a corneal abrasion. I don't even wake up with the dry scratchy eyes because somehow they hold the moisture in. I will not miss any more work or have any more trips to the doctor because of this painful condition. These do not interrupt your sleep in fact they enhance it. if you suffer from dry eyes or corneal abrasions you owe it to yourself to give this a try !

Center Pad see recessed and don’t work well
Use for dry eye. The center pad is recessed and do not keep eye lids closed well. Have to add small pad to work, and more Work to get in place. A sleeping mask works better to add small pad and get in place. Comfortable but wake with more discomfort than with regular slept mask. I ordered because Dr suggested using, but wish I had saved my money.

Missed the Mark
My ophthalmologist recommended I try a sleep kit like this for help with a severe dry eye condition. Unfortunately, it didn't fit well. The eye pieces wouldn't truly stay around my eyes enough to hold in any sort of moisture. If I pulled it tight enough to block out more air from coming in, it squeezed my head enough to give a headache. If I loosened it, the mask slid away from my eyes. The headband wouldn't stay around my head and kept slipping off my hair. Overall, it was extremely uncomfortable. I'm confused by the price as there is nothing here worth $49.Also, with the need to use eye ointment at night, I would forever be cleaning dried eye gel from it. Overall, this missed the mark for me.

and my eyes felt better after the very first use
In my situation, these did the trick. Huge improvement in my dry eye symptoms. I am post LASIK about 1 month, but it is summer in the Pacific NW in a house with no air conditioning, so we have window fans running nearly constantly in the upstairs bedrooms. I wasn't willing to turn those off, but they were contributing to my symptoms. I started using an eye gel and wearing these goggles at night, and my eyes felt better after the very first use. For me, the difference in symptoms was dramatic. I'd say they are worth a shot if you have post LASIK dryness and eye drops/gels/ointments alone aren't enough to relieve your dry eyes.

Comfortable for sleeping with CPAP
Looking for comfort around eye socket. This was good on comfort but the regular size was a bit too small. I will reorder the xl.
