Akribos XXIV Amazon Exclusive Men's AK802 Mechanical Hand Wind Watch

Received the watch on time from seller. No additional bubble wrap around OEM box, but the watch arrived in perfect cosmetic and working condition. I am very picky about such things and was very pleased. The leather strap is surprisingly well done, with thick padding, nice workmanship, and decent quality leather; only wish it wasn't black. I have since purchased and returned three after-market leather straps that turned out to be of much lower quality. The movement has been running 24/7 for just over a month now and I never bump it, splash it, or over-wind the main spring. So far it has kept excellent time with no problems. It has a crisp, solid, metallic sound to its "Tic-Tock" that is very pleasing and not too loud (can't hear it when watch is at arm's length). The dial is marked so that you can read the time to a half minute accuracy if desired, which is unusual for most skeleton watches.Only downside so far is that the black hands (which are nicely shaped, but absorb light), are thin and hard to read in some light conditions. Blue hands would be much easier to read. I also recently saw it for $10 less than I paid for it... but "timing" is everything with watches. (sorry for the pun, really didn't see that one coming...).Overall, very happy with the Akribos AK802BU. It is not a Swiss-made watch, and never pretends to be. But for the price, it is a beautiful piece of engineering that is truly wonderful to look at from the front and especially from the back- where even more of the internal gears and balance wheel are visible. The fit and finish of the band, case, and movement are surprisingly good for this price point. Hope it continues to run for a long time. Will let you know after a few more months.

This watch proved to be a stunning show piece for my Grandson. He loves it and wears it everyday. He is 15 and thinks it is the best he will ever own. Thank you for continuing to bring great products for every generation.

Really gorgeous gotta give credit as the most beautiful skeleton around in its category but mainspring is such that winding is very difficult. Not sure if that's just a flaw in this particular watch or in the design itself

Garbage company that sells cheap Chinese junk. Nice designs but especially the wind up ones break after a few months and stop being able to be wound without ever dropping or damaging the watch in any way.When I reached out a few times about the warranty no response at all.

Sometimes keeps time faster than it actually is. Great look and comfort though.

Belle montre où le mécanisme fonctionne sous nos yeux admiratifs. Comme dirait mon horloger, c'est de l'entrée gamme. Elle est fabriquée en Chine comme beaucoup de montres aujourd'hui, même de marques. Au moins là, on le sait. Par contre, si elle tombe en panne ? Est-elle réparable ? Je doute.

Orologio a carica manuale di 46 mm di diametro, quindi adatto solo a polsi non proprio sottili; ha le sembianze di un oggetto molto costoso, sembra d'oro e con un cinturino di vera pelle, almeno dell'odore così sembra.Anche la confezione è da oggetto serio, bella scatola con cuscino corredata di libretto + garanzia da spedire a New York.Il meccanismo a vista sia davanti che dietro dona un che di prodotto di alto livello, all'apparenza.Le lancette sono sottilissime, più di quanto sembra dalle immagini, e se non ci si vede bene da vicino è un problema.Meccanicamente mah,che dire........ una volta estratta la corona le lancette sono un pò dure, tipico dei meccanismi di scarsa qualità; infatti la precisione non è il suo forte, è un orologio che ha un pò fretta visto che in 24 ore guadagna più di un minuto.Sul prezzo pagato direi che tutto sommato 77 euro li vale; quello che mi da i brividi è pensare che se lo avessi preso on line sul sito di Akribos lo avrei pagato 765$.....! (vedere modello AK802 YG della collezione Spirit)Capisco che a volte sui prezzi avvengono cose strane, ma qui c'è una differenza di 10 volte tanto, o questi di Akribos sono matti oppure sotto le sembianze di Amazon si nasconde Babbo Natale tutto l'anno.......Spedizione puntuale come nello stile Amazon.
