Amazing!!
I wish I had bought this book back when I first started flight school. It is easy to read, combining subjects from multiple sources into one location with references to everything! The product description says 13th edition, but the picture shows 14th edition. I received the 14th edition.I cannot recommend this book enough!! Whether you’re new to aviation, a current flight school student, or a seasoned aviator, this book is a phenomenal resource no matter what stage of your aviation career you are in.

I was NOT GOING to buy it...and then
AND THEN I READ THE REVIEWS!!!Lo and behold, there was a rant by an insufferable blowhard Karen-type who has clearly, long since lost any semblance of a sense of humor. She went crying about how she found the contents sexist and unworthy her moral superiority. To read her hot take, you would think the author himself but the 'sensual' in non-consensual.The review reminded me of someone who has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire. I can imagine she has no enemies but is intensely disliked by all of her friends. I felt so miserable reading the review, it was almost like having her here in the room. That said, I immediately grabbed a copy.If you understand psycologically that the human brain learns best when it is entertained, then buying this book is a no-brainer! Particularly useful for those in the midst of matriculation from private into the professional aviation world. It makes some tongue-in-cheek swipes at cheesy humor. At the end of the day it helps firmly plant complex information in your mind and if that info keeps you from planting 20 tons of aluminum into the side of a hill, then I say insulting cackle creatures, is the better part part of valor. It's now on the required reading list for all my students of both sexes and a top recommend for anyone looking to jump to the next level!

Clif Notes for pilots - awesome.
Highly recommended for all pilots even seasoned veteran pilots who want to refresh their knowledge. Richie Lengel is an excellent author presenting a lot of information in a very memorable way and with easy to remember explanations and illustrations that are also very humorous. A must have book for your pilot library.

A really informative book
I have had multiple CFI’s use this book as a teaching aid and have decided to get it for myself to use with my future students but be warned Amazon messed mine up and cut through 20 plus pages and are difficult to get a new copy through.

How is this book as small as it is?
This book contains so much knowledge it boggles the mind. It includes and clearly lays out basic info useful to the student pilot such as weather and airspace, but also includes amazing info for the professional pilot (or one transitioning into a professional pilot role) such as OpSpecs and excellent breakdowns of §121 & §135 regulations. This is a definite recommendation for any pilot new or old and I will be making it a mandatory resource for all of my students.

Thought it was good for interview prep
I was more like aviation for dummy 101. It briefly explains every topic. Not technically enough for an interview

It's True! Everything is Explained!!
This book is absolutely packed with useful information. Generally speaking, I do not like books that are 'busy' with lots of font size changes, bold, underlining, etc., and this book contains that style on every single page. However, in this case, it really seems to work if you give it a chance, and I think it is reflective of the authors personality. No BS right to the point, here it is RIGHT HERE. I am currently a student pilot and used this book extensively when preparing for my PAR written. I scored a 98 on the test on my first take. This book helped me in the following categories: understanding all the regulations in a concise format, understanding all weather reports and their specific purposes, Chapter 4 - calculating various altitudes, understanding their differences and quick rules of thumb in calculations, specifically, I thought the rule of thumb for calculating density altitude was outstanding. Using the 22Rule was also another outstanding tip, and I won't tell you what that is, because it wouldn't be fair to the author. If you want ONE BOOK to cover a tremendous amount of ground, this is the one. I spend thousands of dollars with Amazon every year, and have NEVER written a product review. The fact that I am taking the time to write this one should speak for itself. Great product, and I can't recommend it enough.

A Must Have
It doesn't matter what type of pilot you are, student to ATP, this is a must have book. I'll admit that I was very wary of buying this book at first considering the price and the fact that it wasn't published by a big name company like ASA or Sporty's. Do not be skeptical! This book is worth every penny. Every bit of information that you'll ever need while flying is in here. The information is laid out in a way that everyone can understand. I enjoy finding information in this book more than trying to decipher the same information out of the FAR/AIM. This is not a substitute for the FAR/AIM, but rather a supplement. If you want to double check the information, Richie has included in parenthesis where the information can be found. If you're having trouble with the information, Richie has also included his email so you'll never be lost using this book.Along with the PTS, this is one of my main study guides for my checkride coming up. Recommended!
