poor tip
The tip was flat. It had some sort of coating which I assume was for grip. The guy who runs then poolhall I go said a tip cutting tool wouldn't fix it. He was able to put it on his lathe and radius it which allowed it to hold some chalk. He was laughing and asked if it was real wood. I'll use it for a while and if I get skilled enough to justify it, I will buy a better quality stick.

Great recreational cue.
I've been looking for a intermediate cue stick for a while and this one has so far fit the bill. First off, I'm comparing this to a well used 30 year old Mali and I am therefore a little biased. The Mali is like an old Marlin rifle (before they sold out) that remains your favorite. The weight is a few noticeable ounces lighter but I quickly got used to that. Right out of the "bag" I rolled it across the table and it was true and straight. The finish on the for-end is surprisingly preferable to the traditional high-sheen finish on many sticks. The finish on this one is a dry but slick low sheen finish that travels flawlessly over your skin. No talc needed, love it.The tip is noticeably different, shorter, but not sure if that effects anything. The lower "wrap" or lack of- is not too bad, at this price point I did not expect a high-end treatment, but the lightly textured surface adds a nice subtle tactile feel in your hand. All in all, I would recommend this cue as a replacement for the cheapos that most of us have lying around the basement. I would only prefer it was a bit heavier.

Not a fan of the billboard advertising on it, but still a good stick
Like others have mentioned, I find the huge label on the stick a little over the top. Pool is more of a gentleman's game, played in stylish rooms with a lot of leather and dark wood. The big label on the stick felt more like Nascar than billiards. But once I got past that, I had to admit that it's a good stick. I prefer an Irish linen grip, but I couldn't find fault with this one. It felt good, and the stick played true. All sticks were very straight and had a nice click to them when the ball was struck. I wish I could have ordered one of the sticks to be heavy for breaking, but these still did a fine job in that regard.

Smooth operator
A cue of your own is awesome. I love the game of billiards. The cue is beautiful to look at. It’s smooth as silk and has the heft I look for in a cue stick. The tip is solid and attached perfectly. The cue is precisely straight when rolling over on the table felt. It’s an amazing stick and improved my shots. I love it and use it regularly. It’s also an amazing value!
