Emma Bridgewater Handmade Ceramic Rise & Shine Script Chicken 8.5” Side Plate

I first heard of the company Emma Bridgewater and saw her some of her ceramic dishes about two months ago. I fell in love immediately with this particular plate and knew I had to have one. The chicken is so prominent on the plate and the saying (It's A Brand New Day) so appropriate for a morning meal it made me happy to just look at it. I liked this pattern so much I actually went ahead and purchased the matching cereal bowl and mug too. The quality of the ceramics appear to be first rate. The glazing is perfectly smooth. This plate would be perfect for a farmhouse kitchen. Despite the plate only being luncheon sized, it would make a great display piece in a cabinet or hung on a kitchen wall because it is so eye catching. It also will make a good plate to use at Eastertime.

This was a gift for a friend, and she loved it. Also matching coffee mug. njd
